For a long time I wanted to visit Engø Gård. And finally I was lucky to visit as my friends were incredebly kind and invited me to celebrate my birthday during a weekend in October. We arrived in beautiful weather and started the celebration with afternoon tea and champagne in the Library. Food and drinks were great!

The room "Utsikten best" was lovely with the nicest view. The large windows gave the impression we were living in the forest with seaview. We could spot deers passing by in front of the sea. Very comfy beds, fluffy pillows and a panorama bathtub.

Beautiful weather so we took the chance for a stroll down to the harbour and the "seahouse" in a perfect location on the edge of the rocks, directly accessible by boat. Would be great to come back for a lunch or a party in the "seahouse".

Some friends took a nap before dinner, but my friend and I went down for a dip in the sea. Too cold for me, not for my friend, she went out into the water for a swim!

Prepared for a set 10 course dinner with wine pairing in the restaurant, we sat down by the table with the best view during sunset. Every course were absolutely delicious and perfectly paired with wine, and kindly explained by the waiter. Dinner lasted for 4 hours, and I enjoyed every minute! 

After a good night sleep, we went for breakfast and were lucky to have a table with a nice seaview again. The buffet was extensive with local ecological and short-travelled food.

Perfect celebration!

A beautiful farm stay in Norway! We drove here from the Oslo airport, enjoying seeing the coast where Edvard Munch painted. The rooms here are beautiful and the beds super comfortable. The grounds are beautiful with a pool house and a sauna right on the fjord. Lots of trees and walking paths too. The best part is the dinner! Wonderful gourmet food paired with great wines. Our table overlooked the water and the evening was simply delightful. Breakfast the next day was equally delicious. 

We only wish we had stayed longer! There's a lot to see and do nearby--don't miss Verdens Ende! The staff was welcoming and spoke English.

I had one of the most wonderful experiences on Engø. I highly recommend it for girls/boys trip, family, honeymoon, wedding and so much more. 
Beautiful rooms with a lot of comfort. 
The staff is so welcoming and kind. Their mission is to give you the best experience ever, and they succeed in my opinion.

Girls trip

First of all the location is amazing, we took a  lovely walk and enjoyed the view and natur. 

Then we had a really good meal 6 course whit wine everything was perfect together. If you come you must take the wine menu! 

The beds and pillows were the best I’ve ever slept in. 

And before we headed home we went in for a swim and some time in the Bubbel bath. 

I was here whit friends and it was so good, but I would love to come whit my partner also! 

You will love this place! 🤩

A night whit friends.

We spent a fantastic summer afternoon at Engø hotel, soaking up the luxurious yet relaxing atmosphere.  Beautiful art and wonderful design everywhere. 
We had a tapas-lunch at the very charming Sjøboden: excellent service and a small but delicious menu. And very good wine. 
Highly recommend - both the hotel and restaurants!

Magical summer afternoon

Delicate room - with flowers. Superb service in restaurant and outside terrasse and a very tasting 6 course menu with a good combination of wine.
and the sun is always shining at Tjøme. I will love to come back.

We went with friends for an overnight package which included dinner and breakfast.

The hotel is stunning, very well maintained and beautifully located.

The room was large, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated.  Lush bath robes and slippers in the room as well as a Nespresso coffee make with four capsules! The only thing we missed was in-room safe and refrigerator/mini-bar.

The breakfast was very good with lots of home-made options but it was only open for two hours and finished at 9:30,  which we find a little bit early when you are going away for a luxury weekend. 

The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a nature walks on the premises and a beautiful in-door pool.

Charging of electric cars was difficult as they only have two chargers and not high-speed.

We would love to go back anytime.

Stunning Farm-style hotel

We stayed just for one night, but the experience we had was one of a kind. The room was spacious and very clean. I liked the design and the tone of the room. The whole surrounding of the hotel is amazing with many things to do and see, especially if you like to be into nature. Very nice breakfast that the majority of the was ecological and made there. Very friendly staff.

Fantastic in all aspects

We travel 1 week in Oslo and Tonsberg to see the beautiful nature in the area. This hotel is just a beautiful calm and relaxing place to be. Very nice gardens and we loved the old style of the hotel. Staff so friendly and cosy, very personal. They had an argentinian head chef that impressed us very much. Great food for all our meals here. For sure we will return to this peaceful resort.

Beautiful hotel

During my short stay in Tonsberg I drove to this place for lunch one day. I have been here before and the setting with the view to the sea is very relaxing with calming beautiful surroundings. When I arrived a business group was having lunch,the Maitre D' said that if I found the group noisy they could seat me somewhere else. I thanked for the info, but would stay in the main room.The business group did not bother me at all. Main course for lunch was chicken. I really wanted fish and asked if they had any fresh seafood. No problem, the Maitre D' said he would ask in the kitchen. The Chef came to my table and said fish was no problem, he listed 3 different ones, however one of them, the Seawolf  they did not have too often and he had just received fresh supply.

I had a beautiful and very tasteful made seafood lunch with fish soup and Seawolf. The staff are very friendly and knowledged.. 

Due to their friendliness and care they made my day.
