Gardenview Room

I arrived quite late at this hotel, the owner rang me before I arrived just to be sure I wasn't lost and even offered to pick me up as I was obviously a tourist, turns out I was right outside. The room wasn't as clean as it could have been and my first night was quite noisy with the other guest speaking on the phone. On my third and final night I had returned from Priekestolen where I climbed Pulpit Rock with a very experienced guide Johannes (I left his details with the owner) as expected I was tired and hungry. The food I had bought from 7eleven was less than substantial and I told the owner, he went out off his way to feed me and I was grateful. We chatted about work and he told me of some projects he had, the next morning before he drove me into Stavanger central (saving me 55KRO) I helped him and his Greek builder friend with the project by installing a large and very heavy door. Imagine, a hungry, hungover tourist from Manchester helping a Chinese hotel owner and his Greek friend fixing a plastic door, priceless. Turns out the Greek guy was the noisy guest from the first night, I let him off once I met him. I would recommend staying here, the owner is cool and his kid is great. I also played on his trampoline between fixing the door. Great place and reasonable price.
