If you are hungry and need something exiting for dinner, this is not the place.
Nice location and easy access and that’s all.
We expected much more both from the signature dish and one normal dish.
The food have been heated for hours. The fish was dry. The price is high but the quality is poor. Some adjustments and the food should have been excellent.
We were looking for not hamburgers....but after this, maybe burger next time.
Maybe more focus on quantity and not quality.
This tavern was by P1 Radio station said to be the jewel of Norwegian tavern, I hope they will return to that quality again, now they are far from that.

Don’t stop for food 

Noisy place by the road where we tried to get a cappuccino. No such luck, just bad black coffee and a meager selection of teas, at greatly inflated prices. You can do much better around here, especially in nearby Oppdal. 


Looking for anything but black coffee? Don’t stop

The stop here was not so pleasant this time.  The burger was not good and the male toilet should have been cleaned.  Kids liked the taco buffer so at least someone was happy.  The place is still cozy and inviting so I will probably visit again. 

Not so good this time 

A good stop for tourists to fill up the gas-tank, buy supplies, have snacks or meals. The interior is charming, all in wood and beautifully decorated in the Norwegian style.
The welcome is friendly and helpful and altogether restful. Moderate  prices. Rooms available for overnight stays.

A perfect place to take a break

We stopped here to fill up the car with gas and decided it would also be a good lunch stop, it was.  After being away from Norway for nearly 10 years, I was looking forward to trying some traditional Norwegian lunch offerings.  I had the shrimp sandwich and it did not disappoint.  The restaurant is simple, though the day we were there they were offering a taco bar.  Clean, friendly, a good place to stop while driving through the mountains.  In addition to gas and food, they also have a motel. Cool looking place with the grass roof, very Norwegian.
