Wonderful accommodation. Easy to find and handy to CBD & some very good restaurants. River and park next door for relaxation. Quiet and very comfortable. Excelleny water pressure in shower.
Host very friendly & welcoming. Will stay there again.

Back here for a second stay, after 4 years. Very friendly welcome, room is very well presented, very clean and comfortable.

Some other reviews mention outdated fixtures and fittings. In my opinion, what is left of the older fixtures, is all part of the character of the motel - and it has plenty of character. It would be a shame to take away some of this character, when it all works as designed.

Although the motel is only a very short walk to the city centre, restaurants etc, it is set back from the road slightly and is screened by high hedges/trees, so noise at night is negligible.

As the same said, the motel located just next to a riverside. Morning walk around the river is great with the awesome view and clear water flows.

Room is clean. We found the weather still cold at night, and there is heater at the living hall. However there isn’t any bed heater available. 

When we check-in, the reception is very helpful. Since we drove Toyota Highlanders, there is a big parking for us to park the car.

The location of the motel is surrounded with cafes, steakhouse and a supermarket. 

We walked towards the Saturday morning market which took us less than 10 min walks. 

All in all, we like the stay here. 

We stayed for three nights at the Waimarie. The guesthouse is conveniently located near restaurants, a supermarket and the I-site. The rooms are very large, very comfortable with everything you would want. The owner is friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The room was very quiet and we neither heard other guests or the passing traffic. I highly recommend this guesthouse in Nelson. As a bonus you get to play with Poppy the wonder dog, the reidentvDa

Great location near river and close to town. 
Big apartment ( number four) with queen sized bedroom, a twin bedroom and  a lounge with another single bed. Kitchen area.Separate loo and bathroom. All very clean. Very helpful owner. We visited Abel Tasman  loved it. We also enjoyed a few delicious dinners at Hopgood’s. We thought Nelson had an essence of a European city.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Good friendly welcome, room very well presented, clean, well equipped and comfortable. Despite being in the city centre, there was relatively very little noise, but my bedroom was away from road. 60 seconds walk away, is a Steakhouse and about a 5 minute walk, there is an abundance of restaurants etc in the heart of the city. 

I walked from the motel to the "centre of New Zealand" lookout. Not an easy walk for people having difficulties, but a great way to start the day.

Nice place to stay for at least one night. Just a few meters away from the river. City center within walking distance (5-10 mins). Lovely hosts, trying everything to make you as comfortable as possible. My units were well equiped, tidy and with a lot of space. Defo worth a stay!

The motel is easy to find with a street map, located on a quiet street immediately outside the central business district. It is clean, comfortable, modern and we had views of the hills, river and riverside walkway from our balcony.
Parking is covered and immediately outside steps leading to the studio flat.

This motel's location is superb just by the river handy for the supermarket supermarket and town very close by.  Would recommend Fords to eat great service and delicious food.  
The motel itself is very clean and comfortable best shower and most comfortable bed of our trip so far. Nice bench and seats to sit outside near room.  Easy parking. The lady who runs it is very helpful.

Checking-in was quick. Robin was helpful at the desk and gave a quick run through for all your needs.
Stayed at room 5 which was huge. Had a full range kitchen, living and dining room. Bedroom had 2 beds which was really comfortable.
Location was right at the city centre.
Highly recommended.
