We spent one night in the hotel. The room was clean, but simple. The environment is nice and calm. The hotel staff and manager was really friendly. The breakfast for 7€ was equal with big hotel's quality. Everything was freshly made/baked. The price is also really reasonable. 

Outside of town but there's a bus a short walk up the road. Don't use the No.7 ... it's a waste of time. Nice , simple rooms with coffee on tap just down the corridor. Everyone was nice and pleasant and breakfast was good. You can ask for something if it's not there....within reason. No restaurant but there's a very good one just round the corner....Flantuas , very popular so reserve. Nice and peaceful with the attraction of a small airplane show every weekend. The aircraft museum just a short walk away is a must do.
Only one drawback and this has nothing to do with the hotel and more to do with the countryside. This is polderland. A lot of the Netherlands is. Lots of water , lots of reeds and rushes and when it's hot ... millions of flies and mosquitoes. There's no escape no matter where you stay in the countryside. So take repellent and get a room with air conditioning....otherwise this place was fun and I felt better staying there than forking out huge amounts of cash staying in town. Thanks Max,Mario,Max Jnr,Maxime,Maryam and of course Sandra who kept me tidy.

Been staying here first weekend in November for 6 or 7 years.   Very friendly staff and I have to compliment Max who is both welcoming and entertaining.   Very reasonably priced and good value for money.   Rooms are simple and clean and being a rural location, no noise.  Slept like a baby two nights running.     Very close to Lelystad Airport (hence the name) and the Aviodrome.
All in all, a very pleasant, clean Hotel that I have no hesitation in recommending.
Keep up the good work Max and see you next year.

Just Like Being Home

Modern hotel, quiet location at Lelystad Airport. Ideally situated for visiting the Aviodrome museum. Rooms are reasonable for the price. Breakfast is much improved since my first stay and is now good value for money. kettle in the rooms ( with a slightly bizarre selection of the bags). The bed was a little too soft for me but then I like a firm mattress. No restaurant but there is always Flantuas a couple of minutes walk away - but be warned, last orders for the kitchen at 8pm

Friendly and reasonable

One is tempted to stay at this modern small hotel (24 rooms) when visiting Lelystad Airport or the adjoining magnificent Aviodrome museum & theme park. Beware, however, the service is very sloppy and my room wasn't cleaned. There is no restaurant, although they do serve a few snacks. Breakfast was OK.

Non-professional

I don't normally leave reviews but I was so disappointed with this hotel that I can't let it go unchallenged.  Main issues as follows:

1. Nobody around on reception when we arrived even though it was the middle of the day.  We had to hang around for 20 minutes before anyone appeared.  Even then we were only given a room key by a paint-splattered odd job man and not checked in properly.  You need a security code to get back in if you return after the main door has been locked - we weren't given this.
2. Fire escape was left wide open all night and we couldn't lock our room door from the inside.  Anybody could have walked in off the street during the night.
3. Room furniture is extremely dated and room wasn't properly cleaned before arrival.  Found litter from the previous occupier under the bed.  Corridors look tired and the area around the outside of the building is littered with builders' rubble and general detritus.
4. Safe in the room didn't work.
5. Advertises free parking, but it actually costs €2 per night.  Buses into Lelystad are infrequent and don't run very late into the evening.  On top of the €80 room rate we spent €50 on two taxis just getting into the town and back.
6. Nobody around on reception when we came to check out (this was at 11am).  Hung around for 20 minutes to no avail.  Only got through to anyone by ringing the out of hours contact number at my own expense.

Awful.  Just awful.
