The hotel is hidden behind a restaurant and the car park close to the hotel, but you have to walk a bit. The outside is not really attractive. The room (studio apartment) we had is very spacious, clean, well furnished and has recently been renovated. I especially like the bathroom with the two showers.

Breakfast is delivered punctually to your door in a basket. You have to set the table and make the coffee yourself. Most of the items you find in the basket were bought in a discount store. 

There is a kitchenette with a fridge in this studio apartment.

Towels are provided.

Great rooms!

Room was large, spotless, and absolutely noise-free. Very much akin to the wonderful bed-and-breakfast accommodations in Europe, with a hospitable hostess, and never-can-finish breakfast.

The only thing I would have preferred better is the car parking closer. The car park slots are part of a restaurant, situated in front of the lodging. This does make you lugging your bags a little tougher.

Ideal base for Texel in rustic surrounding

I stayed here for almost a month while in Den Helder on business.  The location is good, it's quiet so you get a good nights sleep and if you have time off then you're in a great place to take walks.  It's a little far from town to walk in the winter but it would be nice in the summer.  There is a supermarket not too far away and the steakhouse right next door for food.  I'm not sure about transport links (buses etc) as I was using taxis and company transport.  

The room is big which is a bonus, plenty wardrobe space to hang clothes and to store my cases, there even enough room to roll out my pilates mat which is more than I can say for the other hotels I've stayed at locally!  The shower has good pressure and the whole bathroomis roomy.  Plenty space for toiletries and makeup!  The room is very well equipped, I was able to make myself a variety of meals using what was provided with no problems.  Breakfast can be provided, there's quite a lot in the basket for one person, you get an egg, cereal, yoghurt, croissant, bread rolls, ham, cheese, butter, jam, orange juice, milk.    

They do have wifi but it can be a bit hit and miss.  If one connection drops out you can usually connect to another one.  Some evenings it was very fast, some evenings it was very slow.  So perhaps not great if you need a steady conneciton to download files but ok for general browsing and using iMessage, email etc.  

The hosts are very pleasant, very polite and if you need anything at all or have any questions they are very quick to help.  A genuinely lovely couple, they made me feel very welcome.  Next time I come here for work I'll be asking my company to book me in here again.

Great Place and Lovely Hosts

Nice place in a nice nature reserve in the top of Holland with quick (walking distance) access to the beach. This place is a self service apartment but does include breakfast. Breakfast is left in front of the door in the morning at an agreed time. It's not the greatest quality but it does do the job. 
The kitchen in the apartment is small but it is definitely possible to cook a simple meal.
We had a top floor apartment on the corner which meant we had no own terrace to sit outside (and there is no balcony). There is a communal terrace to sit at but this is facing towards a restaurant which is only a stone drop away. 
The good thing about the corner apartment was the fact that we had more windows and therefore more views but the bad thing was that the freely provided wireless internet signal didn't reach that far. In order to pick this up I had to sit in the hallway.

The apartment itself is big enough - there is plenty of space to sit and have your dinner and the bed was nice and comfortable. There is no bath in the bathroom but the shower was very nice and the bathroom is big enough.

The location is very nice as it is set on the edge of a nature reserve leading into the dunes and towards the sea. The nearest city is only about 10 minutes driving away with plenty of amenities. I would recommend to come with your own transport as I'm not sure about bus services to this place.

All in all a nice stay for a long weekend.
