This is my second time staying in this riad, The first time has been one year ago, I arrived from Barcelona with a serious delay flight ( almost 2am ), I called from airport, the very friendly owner Paula told me not to worry and came out to find me at taxi point ! I always remember that midnight walk, the road to riad looked clean and safe.
And the room was beautiful, clean, the lovely bed gave me a very pleasant night after a real long day.
So I came back with my 5 friends this time, I chose it to be our Marrakech hotel after the desert trip, booked 3 double rooms for two nights. We came by 4x4, the driver dropped us at Dar Bacha at evening time. I didn't remember exactly the place but I l earned the best way to find hotels in Morocco's medinas--get a trolley man, give 20dh, walk without carrying big luggage and he'll quickly take you there.
We did it!
Paula's place was as clean and comfortable as before, 
When she knew one of us needed to take medicine to sleep and one had bad knees not good for stairs, she rearranged rooms for us--two doubles and two singles, so one could sleep on ground floor and the other could sleep quietly without roommate. We appreciated so much her sweet offer, knowing it was an unusual treat. Thanks for the single room clients --they would arrive after 2 days.
I was happy that my friends enjoyed their stay, we had nice coffee for breakfast, felt free to sit down chatting by the pool, and on the way from riad to big plaza we found so many good shops. 
Riad Ziryab Marrakech, a warm and relaxing place that I'll come back again.

Excellent situation, close to parking, to the main Square and also to the newer part of the city.  It is a beautiful traditional building in the medina, so it was nice to go out and be right there, but it was also nice to be back in the peaceful riad,and enjoy the views of the Atlas mountains with a nice green tea a la menthe, the best tea I ever drunk in Marrakech, and a very homely riad

2 couples booked 2 rooms with Booking.com upon arrival in Fes with confirmed availability and a booking confirmation.
On arrival at the Riad the staff that did not speak English tried to solve the problem that actually no rooms seemed to be available. 
They had no access to the administration of bookings other than photocopied sheets of older reservations - only the Hotel Manager whom they called (he wasn’t at the hotel) was able to check the bookings. 
We asked if something to drink would be available while we would wait for him and the staff invited us for a drink as a compensation for the trouble.
When the Manager arrived the whole thing really went south. He said there would only be one room left and that he would have no responsibility for the *confirmed* booking, he would not agree to cancel the reservation though (so his customers would have to pay a cancellation fee to booking.com) and he generally offered no support at all, let alone giving suggestions for alternative hotels.
So we called booking.com and they tried to call the hotel to talk to the manager but no one picked up the phone. So we handed him our mobile phone with the service center on line and suddenly the man that fluently spoke French, English and German before couldn‘t remember how to speak English. After insisting for some time he finally agreed to cancel the reservation confirmed by HIS hotel HE could not fulfill and took accountability for his mistake by taking over the cancellation fee. 
He than went on that he had asked his wife to help with rooms but she had guests. Finally he wanted to charge us for the 4 beverages the staff had invited us to. We left with a lot of wasted time, insulted and with a clear message: this place is to be avoided.
