1283 reviewsWe made Essaouira our first stop in Morocco, meaning that we arrived fairly late having flown into Marrakesh then taken the bus. On arrival into Essaouira we felt safe and welcomed by the locals. Another hotelier showed us the way to Riad Baladin as we were struggling to locate it via the signage from the street. (Could be improved would be only feedback on stay) The moment we stepped through the door and were greeted by the smell of orange blossom, the sound of a trickling Buddha fountain plus the friendly night porter bearing mint tea and biscuits, we felt a wave of comfort and calm wash over us, which remained with us throughout our stay. Everything was fantastic! Our room was lovely, with a comfy bed and separate seating area. Beautiful bathroom and nice hot shower. The ladies serving breakfast were so sweet and we were grateful that it was serviced until midday so we could enjoy a lie in! Felix the manager was so attentive to all the guests, making everyone feel extremely comfortable. There was also Simba the cat soaking up the relaxed riad vibes. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Essaouira, which I think we will! Thank you Felix and the team xx
