Whole team were very professional and friendly. Free bonus stuff we're given generously by the owner.
The team knew how to calculate excatky were the require target fish were depending on tides.
Boat equipped with Al you would need to dive, snorkel and coffee to tea..

The owner and team made 100% sure the guest experienced the whale shark encounter. The dive boat was properly equipped.

Fantastic guest house, ideal for diving around the south atol with its in house dive school. Quality equipment, Lovely rooms, exceptional staff & beautiful food.

Best diving in South Atol Maamigili

Shamar Guesthouse is the best known secret from the Maldives. The service in the guesthouse is great, the food is very tastefull, the panorama room is big and clean. The Diving is wonderfull. Nasiih was a great guide and we saw almost everything from the bucketlist. Karim did a good and helpfull job in the service. Rachid was the best golfcar driver and took care of the rooms. Shamoon found the whaleshark for us and is kind and interested in you. Markus did arange our trip good and answered all the questions. So I would say: don’t go there…. Its my secret !

Best known secret

My partner and I had a wonderful experience during our two dives with the Sharma. We met Nazeeh and Shaahid who were both very professional and knowledgeable. It was my first time diving and I did the discovery dive. I felt reassured during the training the previous day as I could see the team were highly experienced. I felt safe the whole time during my dives with Shaahid.

My partner who is a returning diver enjoyed his experience. 

Next time we return to Maamigili we will not hesitate to return to the Sharma for diving.

Amazing and super friendly stuff, great food (way above my expectation!), nice room, and most importantly AWESOME diving instructor and experience!

We stayed at Shamar's guesthouse for 5 nights and did 10 dives with Shammon. And I wanna call out the highlights that justify the 5 star rating:
1. Shammon is one of the best diving instructor I have ever met, he is super calm, patient and professional, I had some trouble with equalizing at the beginning and thanks to him I was able to descend much faster at the end of the tour.

2. The diving experience and arrangement is superb and unbeatable!
Thanks to the end to end ownership (Shammon owns the guesthouse, transportation, boat, everything! This is rare in other dive centers), the diving experience was super smooth, flexible, and most importantly enable us to go to the best diving spot given the weather and ocean condition.

3. One of the best diving destination in Maldives, especially for whale sharks!
Mammigili is the island for whale shark, most whale shark spots are within 30 mins via boat, and thanks to Shammon's experience we were able to see whale shark 3 times in 4 days! Both at the bottom and the surface of water.

4. Amazing stuff and food.
This is not a 5-star resort, but the stuff, service and food are definitely way above an average guest house.
The staffs are always super friendly, responsible, courteous, and always ready to help.
The food great exceeds out expectation, with daily specials and Ala Carte menu, with wide variety of options ranging from Indian, South east Asia and Italian food.

Overall highly recommend! If you are serious about diving in Maldives and whale shark watching, and want to get the great service, room and food at much lower rate than Maldive's luxury hotels, this is the place!

Best diving center in Maldives

Shamar guesthouse is an amazing place to stay welcoming and making u feel at home , the staff is always kind to u and ready to have fun . 
I spend about 10 days in Maamigili and the place and people I met  were just fantastic , at the end of the trip I found myself overwhelmed and very satisfied . This little corner of the Maldives is stunning  and truly said : Prepare yourself for some Amazing dives .
The Guesthouse offers clean rooms , and the service is very friendly , the beach is just opposite the guesthouse 3 min walk .
Markus and Shammon arranged everything for me and the crew was very helpful ! 
 They offer good food , delicious oven pizza , definitely have options also for Vegetarians  ,..

Where beauty and nature blend in an overwhelming vacation 😍

My girlfriend and I were there for 18 days after X-mas.
We had an amazing time there. Nice and clean rooms. 
Always fresh cooked meals and really good food, with the perfect spice for everyone.
They are not using plastic cups, plates, bottles and so on. What we personally estimate.
All your wishes will be fulfilled. Doesn´t matter what you want, they will be focused to get it.
The diving was amazing, the dive sides are for all divers.
You can see macro stuff, swarms of fishes, sharks, big fishes, ... 
The boat is nice and the guys are well organized. Coffee and fresh water are always available. Between the dives they serve fresh fruits.
They will prepare your equipment, if you want to, but you can do everything by yourself.

At new years eve we had an amazing dinner at the beach with grilled fish and an amazing view.

IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL HOLIDAY!!

Vacation 2021/2022

Excellent dive center on Maamigili non-resort, local community island. Ari Atoll where Maamigili Island is located is One of the best areas for diving in the world. 

Great and professional staff in five star PADI Diving center with full scope of services including nitrox. 

Very clean, nice rooms, and bathrooms, beautiful, private beach. Very good food. 4 restaurants in 10 min diameter to have a different options. 

Great ambiance and really nice owners - local diving Instructor with lifetime experience on diving in Ari Atoll and German Partner that delivers great management. 

Absolutely recommended!
