11 reviewsWe came to Palanga for my son's annual chess tournament. We chose the Baltas Namas because it was close to the location of the tournament (Vanagupe Hotel, about a 10 minute walk). The Baltas Namas offered a large room with two beds at very reasonable price. I was more than pleased by the hotel. It is in very good condition, very clean and comfortable. And the owners are very charming people. The husband speaks excellent English, the wife Russian. Both are very kind. The breakfasts were very good, home cooked style. Although we did not have a car, there was plenty of parking. The only downside is the location is about a 20 minute walk, or a 5 euro taxi ride, to the center. If you have a car, this will not be an issue. There are not many restaurants around. But there are cooking facilities in most rooms and for those without a kitchen, there is a shared kitchen available for use. Wifi is fast and free.
