We booked for 1 night and then extended our stay longer.
Excellent hotel with beautiful room, very nice staffs. Best of this is the service. The staff helped us with all local tour, renting a motor bike and arranged a taxi to the airport after we checked out. Highly recommend this place to every one coming to Vientian!

Highly recommend this hotel !

Stayed at the hotel, a few days ago for two days and two nights. I definitely love the style of the lobby and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast- a bowl of rice porridge and a continental breakfast was great and the view at the top floor of the restaurant over Vientiane was just as nice. The only thing I noticed with the room was that the TV remote wasn't working in my suite, and our key card also had problems initially accessing our room, other than that it wasn't a big problem. Location was definitely convenient as well, right across the street was the outdoor plaza where there was a New Years Music Festival sponsored by Beer Lao happening and a few blocks down was the Night Market near the Mekong River. For about $30-35 night for a double room, it was pretty good. I wish I could have stayed longer in Vientiane because I'd definitely stay another night at this hotel. The receptionists were extremely helpful when I was checking out and I didn't have enough Kip, they offered to take me by moped to the currency exchange to help convert my last USD and KRW to Kip, drove me back by moped and we ended up paying by card anyway. But still, the extra effort was nice. And they also arranged an airport drop-off for me by car. I will miss Vientiane and the friendly staff service at this hotel.

Good Location, Nice Price

Well located in a quite street in the old centre of Vientiane. Rooms are quite small but there is a big lobby and a big breakfast room at the top floor, the seventh floor, where you can hang out. Breakfast is ok and the men at the reception are really nice when you can deal and get along with Asian people. Rooms in the 6th floor are the best. The price of about 27 USD is very reasonable.

good value

We stayed for 2 nights and we're allowed early check in at 10am (no extra fees). I believe this was a beautiful hotel back in the day. The lobby is spacious and we see there were efforts to "modernize" and renovate it. 

The bed, headboard, closet and dresser were made of thick fine wood. Beddings were thin and old, needs replacement. There is a small terrace for smoking or just getting fresh air. The bathroom used to be nice but needs a makeover and deep cleaning. Nonethless, we slept well. 

They also offer complimentary Continental breakfast. It's simple but filling. You can choose from omellete, 2 fried eggs or pancake. Then there's a buffet table of toasts with butter and jam, fried noodles, cereals and milk, assorted fruits. 

Staff were nice. Location is closed to restaurants and cafe as well as the night food market.

Everything good, building old

I stayed here for 2 nights in the room 307. The room was not ready when I checked-in. The housekeeper was sleeping on the floor in my room. The bathroom quiet dirty, still have some stuff from the old guest. On the second day everything from the housekeeper  was better. Nice amenities but slowly wifi. The male staff at front desk in the afternoon always give me a smile and good suggestion. The hotel location quiet good, Can walk to the river without breaking a sweat.

Quiet Dirty

Well located, near restaurants, things to see and night market. Reasonable room and fairly comfortable, but things don’t work. My main problem was after being out for six hours I just wanted to get back to my room for a break - but my swipe card would not work. After finally convincing staff it was a problem with the lock and just giving me yet another card would not fix it, was told someone could not be there to repair for another hour and a half, which I felt was not good enough. In the end, I was locked out of my room for 90 minutes in total. Then still not mended but given a metal key which was difficult to engage in the lock. I was a bit concerned whether it would work when trying to get luggage out in a hurry next morning to move on. My friend in a different room had trouble with bathroom leaks. Fridge not plugged in or working.

Good location with faults 

Comfortable and central, but nothing works. No plug in the sink, showers leak, not hot, shower head slides down. Our door started beeping incessantly, so we had to shift to another room after changing for bed. Just about got locked out of our new room this morning because of another dodgy door mechanism.

Faulty Towers

On 23.1.17, I stayed by using one room but it was paid double(two rooms). The hotel refuse to refund for one room. At the time of check-in, it was said that two rooms were booked under the same name (it was then known that the reservation was made again due to late payment confirmation information when making a reservation in Agoda), and the hotel also acknowledged the reservation and confirmed that it was using one room. However, it was confirmed later that it was double-paid. one is by the hotel requiring when I checked out because it was not paid, the other is by Agoda. I informed Agoda of the fact. Agoda contacted the hotel and informed them of this but the hotel is refusing to refund it. My reservation number at that time is 828464936 and 812596240.

paid twice for one room

We used to stay at Manorom hotel most of the time we visit Vientiane , only few visits that we used others. But this recent visit was big different. 

The good.
- location is good, hotel is located close to Wat Mixay where we can walk to restaurants and coffee shops and not far from main tourist attractions.

The bad
- There were insufficient  toiletries for two people, no tissue, only one roll of toilet paper and one sachet of coffee and no tea. The cleaner did not replenish the water and toiletries. We called the reception on the phone and report them and ask the reception to bring those to us , the reply was they did have the key and the housekeeper was home. We had to go down to the reception counter and demand them to bring  for us , they still said they had no key to the housekeeper room , we pointed out that there were empty rooms and they could manage to bring those things for us.
- at the breakfast, no welcome , no smile , no greeting anything, the waiter  just walked and hand the paper to us to tick which breakfast we wanted, no talked , and then walked away for sometime and then put food on table without said the word even we said thank you for the waiter.
-the standard of breakfast was much lower from last time we visited.
-The boy who acted receptionists were busy with mobile phone or ipad , not even paid interest when we walked in to the main door.
-We found that our recent visit, the standard of the hotel and its services had plummeted ..
