Asari Classe Hotel

I stayed in this hotel in October 2024 for four nights. Having been to Otaru City earlier and met the crowd, but attracted to visit the area again, I stayed in Asari which is just a short drive from Otaru but much quieter. We chose in a room in the Candle Hotel (Classe Hotel) with a small private open-air onsen and we had half-board. The room was very big, clean, and comfortable. The only complaints were we needed to walk down a flight of stair with our luggage as the lift did not serve to that floor for rooms with private onsen, and that the furnitures were a bit old-style. But having a private open-air onsen in the room was a very unique experience. Breakfast and dinner were both very good. The chef Mr Yano Naoki had been very nice and diligent in arranging 4 different menus for our 4 nights of stayed. The dinners were very delicious indeed. One of the waitress in the restaurant was Miss Thazin, who happened to be from a South East Asian country and she spoke good English (and appeared to spoke fluent Japanese as well). She was very friendly and attentive to customers. While staying, I had some documents to sign and e-mail back. The staff at the reception had been very very helpful in printing out the document, and scanned it for me after I signed. After dinner time there was piano playing for about an hour in the main lobby. We radiated out from this hotel to Otaru, Yoichi, Sapporo, and Jozankei, the autumn colour at different altitude while driving was simply magnificant.
