Hotel Keihan Namba Grande

This is our first time staying at this property for 9 nights and we were very pleased with the service and amenities. Staff is wonderful and always ready to accommodate very efficiently. Our family room for the 3 of us was wonderful…2 tvs; 4 very comfortable beds; table with 4 stools; 1 round table with a chair and 2 settees. The fridge is small with a microwave; kettle; Keuring coffee machine with decaf coffee pods; and pots/pans with cutlery and dishes. A little sponge, dish detergent, and paper towels are provided. Unfortunately there is no toaster at all. Everyday we used eco clean….change towels and throw out garbage and they also replenish 2 litres of water for us. Every 5 days, we asked for full service for room to be vacuumed, washroom washed, and bed linen changed. Our room faces the parking lot and other buildings but we do not need views when in Osaka but other rooms can see into our room so must draw curtains. The room is quiet and you can’t hear any of the nearby trains. Washroom has 2 double sinks; toilet separated from the bathroom and there is even a closet where you can put your bags and hang your clothes. Right by the bed are sockets and usb sockets which are convenient and many of the room lights, AC, and TV are all electronically controlled. In our room there is a washer/dryer combo and it takes about 6 hours to wash and dry! Detergent pods are provided. Our family room is tastefully decorated and the wall colours are modern. There are also blackout drapes along with sheers. On the 2nd floor where the front desk is are 2 coffee stations with self serve Starbucks coffee, lattes, hot chocolate, and espresso. Beside it is also a juice and soda pop station. Both open from 6 to 11am and then from 3 to 11pm again. The coffee is excellent! such convenience for the guests. We did not have their breakfast downstairs on 1st floor as it did not look very worthy of 2200 yen per person. This hotel attracts many Asian guests from China, Philippines, South Korea, along with a small % from North America. In the lobby, some guests can be very loud and forget that this is Japan that the Japanese people has great manners and decorum. Guests should remember when in Rome, do what Romans do and not behave like one is back home. Location of the Keihan is in Namba Parks South so a little farther walk away from the centre of Namba…it is in Namba Parks keep on the 2nd level until you pass Centara Grand hotel and Lawsons at the corner. There you turn left to reach Keihan also on the 2nd floor. If you have lots of luggage in tow from the Namba station, it is quite a bit of a hike so best to forward your luggage to the hotel directly for convenience. We had a wonderful stay at the Keihan and we thank all the wonderful staff at the front desk who are so helpful and accomodating. We hope to return to the Keihan in 2026 for another 10 nights.
