I traveled through Omaezaki during a bike trip from Tokyo to Osaka. The morning after my stay at Omaezaki Youth Hostel, I found that my bike's back tire had sprung a slow leak and was completely flat. I had blown through my spare tube the previous day, and was in a bind! I speak a little Japanese, and so I explained the situation to the owner and asked him if there were any bike shops in town. He went one step further, and gave me a ride to the repair shop himself! The owners saved me a lot of grief and delay that day, and I'm still very thankful.
