I wasn’t expecting much from the free breakfast, so I was floored when it tasted so good. Check in and check out are efficient as one would expect in Japanese hotels. The room and bath are a bit larger than most Japanese hotels I’ve stayed in. My only beef is the timed onsen. There is only one onsen facility and men and women have to share it but at different times. The times are a bit inconvenient for travelers who come in late.

Awesome Breakfast

The hotel is located very near to the station. There are alot of restaurants around the area. The staff were very friendly and rooms were very clean. There is a public bath. The only problem is the breakfast is not good at all.

Good location

This hotel is just great, next to the Station and walk across, nearby is our favourite and famous Butadon.  All the major shops and restaurants are just within walking distance eg. Rokkatei and Kita no Yatai.

Breakfast is great too.  Value for money.

Strategic Location

I’m finishing an overnight stay at the JR Inn in Obihiro and from the moment of check in it has been a very good stay. When I reserved this hotel I got a room for 4000 yen ($37). I wasn’t expecting much. At check in, I was upgraded to a nicer room, and the lady at check jn actually took the time to look at her computer and see that I am a Japan resident. That meant no hassles at check in about showing a passport, etc. that I find frustrating as a long-term resident. My room on the fourth floor is small, but comfortable, and the temperature is just right. The hotel is on the square in front of Obihiro train station, and my room is facing the rail line, but I cannot hear the trains passing. It’s quiet. Free breakfast is included in the price, another definite advantage. This hotel is a bargain at this price. I would definitely stay here again.

A bargain in central Obihiro

I got a good deal on the room (about ¥5,000 per night for a single).  At this price it was great value.  Right next to the JR train station.  I'd stay again at around the price I paid or a bit more. 
The restaurant and bar area is a short walk away.
