This ryokan is very appealing for families with small children, as they have many children-orientated amenities and activities. Quaint ryokan with trendy vibe! AMENITIES The AWESOME facilities include childrens play area, jungle gym, video games arcade, Nintendo console, computer games, table tennis, comic book library area and vending machine area. SERVICE At the entrance, the hotel even has snow boots for kids to use, strollers and warm vests if walking outside or to the sister hotel across the road down the alley. They go the extra miles for” little people”. HOTEL Onsite there is also a GIFT shop, vending machine areas with massage chairs and a yakuta closet with samples sizes available. Massage service and karaoke available for extra charge. Area seems relatively quiet. ROOMS We enjoyed a spacious family tatami suite. I was surprised that although they are a kid-friendly institution, they lacked sizes 130-140cm size yukata, so that the yukata for my kids were either too big or too small. The double sinks were fantastic and there was a separate tea room and verandah to enjoy the views. ONSEN The outdoor rocky onsen is Jacuzzi-sized and located in the sister hotel about 50m walk away on the first floor. Do remember to bring a towel. The indoor onsen has a child-friendly design with an elevated wooden platform ankle-high depth for young children. Comfortable public baths, rooms and convenient facilities. DINING The dining hall has both western and Japanese (on floor) type seating arrangements. They even have tray strollers for kids and multi-tray strollers so one does not have to make multiple trips to the buffet counter. Food was a good spread and the seafood fresh and delicious. SUMMARY Good value for money! Fantastic ryokan for families with young children!
