Very nice guesthouse.
Very nice location.
Very nice owners.

You can enjoy staying in the old Japanese House.
I loved the very simple but high sense interiors.
The service of rental bicycles for 300yen/day is very nice.

I’ll come back again when I go to Kanazawa.


○Old as it is,(this japanese -traditional house was built almost 100 years ago!)it's so clean and comfortable. You could feel as if you have your home in this KANAZAWA city.

○Room
I and my friend reserved a small room named "KUMO(the cloud)".At first, I was anxious about the room size, it's because some photo on the web showed me this small room is filled up with double size mattress.
But if you stayed this hotel, you could understand that the room size is not a important matter. Two Large common rooms with functional kitchen and comfortable furnitures are there!
Throughout my stay, I enjoyed a cup of tea, reading books and talking with other guests in these two common rooms.

○Location
This hotel is located in the central area of KANAZAWA, you could get almost all of the tourist spots only on your foot.

○部屋の調度、何気なく置かれた本、室内の様々なところに貼られている優しいタッチのイラストで描かれた掲示など、全てが素敵なゲストハウスでした。オーナーご夫婦をはじめ、スタッフさんもみなさんとても親切で、気持ちが良い方ばかりでした。

Beautifully converted house. Still had a very traditional feel. The staff were really welcoming, especially the owner who had plenty of useful local advice. Comfy room. Well located right near the park and fish market. Reasonably priced for the style and ambience!

Stayed in Dom Room for 1 night in Dec, 2015.

Location: The hostel is located 15 mins away from the JR station but it is next to the Kanazawa Castle Park and 10 mins to Kenroku- and 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art.

Staffs: The staff is helpful and friendly. They are very knowledgeable about the history of the Kanazawa. They also have good recommendation for food too! However, it is completely closed from 1100 to 1500 which you need to notice.

Facilities: The building is a tradition Japanese house which is gorgeous and beautiful and the inside has been renewed. There is a kitchen for you to cook with free tea and coffee.

Atmosphere: People I met in the hostel are very friendly and willing to interact with others. The common rooms are very comfortable and provided chances for interaction.

Stayed in the larger of the two private rooms. Both private rooms are traditional Japanese styled with futons on tatami mats. The guest house is in a quiet area about 20 mins walk from Kanazawa station (you can get a bus there easy) and is a 1 min walk to the Castle Park and about 5 min walk to the famous fish market/mall/other food options.

The walls are paper thin, so you can literally hear everything in the hostel, but luckily there is an 11pm curfew. Be prepared for that. That is the only downside to this place, as the facilities are so clean and perfect, you can rent borrow all the necessities, plus there's free tea and drip coffee. Owners Jiro and Aska are incredibly nice and willing to help you whenever it's needed. Can't thank them enough.

Everyone's said it, but yes the guest house is completely closed from 11am - 3pm, so Jiro and Aska can get all their errands done. But Kanazawa is beautiful, so get out of the guest house and do something with your day.

Stayed in their female dorm. New, comfortable and clean. Interesting layout with nice wooden structure. Pretty good facilities. Location is great - near the market, garden and castle. The owner speaks pretty good English so communication is not a problem

Beautiful and chill guesthouse right near the Castle Park

Clean and convenient

Some weeks ago I booked a room for two nights in October at this guest house .I paid the full amount Today, 12 September, I received an email from them cancelling my booking because another customer wanted the room for a longer period. I was told to claim a refund from Booking.com, through whom I had booked. So be warned: a booking at this guest house is precarious, even where you have paid for your stay.
