KKR Hotel Nagoya

The hotel is very close to Nagoya castle but 10-15mins walk from the station which is bit far to drag my bag. The room was big with nice view and clean. The restroom was renovated so the water pressure was strong.

Enough space for family. Very clean. Close to kinshachi yokocho and Nagoya castle.

need a hotel near a hospital and what i found was wonderful. i didnt go anywhere else but it is very near to Nagoya Castle and believe it is not far from the city centre. would come back to stay again next time if i visit Nagoya.

Hotel room is large, close to Nagoya castle. But it is a bit far from subway station and not many restaurants nearby. So either take meals in hotel or prepare to walk to subway. Staffs are excellent. Room is very clean and quiet.

Bit hard to locate the hotel as its appearance is quite similar to building nearby. And, it should be good to provide direction for guest to go hotel by bus which is more convenience for guest with kids or elderly.

the environment is tidy and quiet, the hotel room is comfortable.

We specifically requested a castle view.  It was worth it.

It is on the road side not the 'quiet' side but at night, there is rarely any traffic so it was not an issue.

Located beside the castle in the edge of the government offices area, their obvious target market is the government, lawyers and other professionals that have businesses nearby. 

The negative to the location is, no entertainment or restaurant options nearby.  Everything needs to be a car or train ride away.  

That been said, Nagoya is pretty small city so the entertainment district is about 10 minutes by car ride away.

Therefore, relative few children and it is very quiet hotel. 

The room we got was a decent size comparative to other Japanese hotels.

Ample parking outside on the property. 

10 minute walk to two nearby subway lines.

I was surprised when we entered the room. I expected it would be small, just as our hotel room in Tokyo. But it was actually very spacious. We booked for 3 persons (2 adults & 1 12-y/o child). they prepared 2 full size beds & 1 soda bed (full size as well) and everything else in 3 counts (tooth brushes, towels, etc). It has a small fridge, hot water maker, and tea pots & cups.
We can tell that it was an older hotel. But even though it's old, they kept it very clean and comfortable. They provided new towels & toiletries everyday.
The staffs were friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our suitcases after check out time (11am) and picked them out before we left for airport (5pm).
The hotel is located at business (offices) area. There's 1 Lawson (convenient) store at the building next door. From our room we could view the Nagoya castle. Amazing view from our room! It was only 5 minutes walk to the castle and about 20 minutes walk to Toyota museum. 
We were very pleased with this hotel and highly recommend it. 


Chosen for the location close to the Nagoya Castle & room- largest western style bed we have seen in Japan.The first night, the A/C stopped working midway through the night & thought it was a mistake on our end. Restarted the air con controller & was rocking in the morning fine.Second night, same. After going to the front desk, my limited Japanese & staff's limited English (I know I'm in the wrong w/limited Japanese)- it was explained the a/c thurnes off at night. Then tell the guests upon checkin because unless you turn off the unit overnight, it states blowing warm air- the opposite positive sleeping environment! 2nd night, he did provide a fan & we were able to make it through.3rd & last night, turned off the unit overnight, on the fan & made it though.Maybe go in mid-to-late summer & the a/c would work throughout the night?

Hotel has good restaurants and amenities. Staff is friendly and rooms are good. Mainly a family and business trade. Recommend it for short stays. It has excellent meeting rooms and is appropriate to host small business conferences.
