LiVEMAX RESORT Izu-kogen

We stayed here for one week in June and we had an amazing time! We wanted to stay in a more traditional Japanese hotel but wanted to feel comfortable with our 5 year old daughter, and this was definitely the perfect place for that. The room was clean and tidy and the beds were very comfortable. You can close the doors to the main part of the room which leaves a little sitting area by the windows, which was perfect as it meant we could put our little girl to bed and have somewhere to sit and have a coffee without disturbing her too much. The staff here are amazing! We were so looked after by the lady working here and she was always drawing us maps of good places to visit. She did the most amazing breakfast for us every morning, with about 8 different things to eat. You could choose a Japanese breakfast or a European breakfast, which was mainly cereal, little omelettes, sausages, fruit, salad, cakes and we were usually so full we didn't need any lunch! Our daughter was spoilt rotten the whole time. The staff made her little presents and gave her gifts and taught her some Japanese words! The lady that looked after us used to set a place at the breakfast table for her teddy bear and even gave her one of her own bears when we left. The baths were always clean and had a good supply of toiletries. The hotel was known by the taxi drivers at the train station, which made it pretty easy to get to, although we did have a copy of the hotel name and address in Japanese just in case. We were made to feel extremely welcome here and we were all really sad to leave. I would definitely stay here again.
