We booked this last October with a good score on Bookings.Com. However, after reading some of the reviews on TripAdvisor, we started to think what have we done. Complaints about not being able to find it, no hot water, no food, no towels etc etc.

We have just returned today after three excellent nights there.

I feel that for the money this offers excellent value for money, and for what we paid I am surprised it included breaksfast.

To start. Due to a bus being directly outside the airport we got their in 45 minutes max. As you come through the gate into the airport, there is a tourist information point directly in front of you. They sell the bus tickets at 6 euros each, and more importantly will give you a map. The bus stop is about 40 footsteps away. The bus takes approximately 20 minutes and drops you outside the Porto Nuova Train station. With that at your back, walk to the right and make sure you cross the canal/river which runs under the pathway. There is then a sign for the Arena. cross the road there and you will see the Porta Nuova (a single story Roman looking building) .walk past  the side of that and you are in the Corso Puerto Nuova. 10-15 minutes slow walk and the accommodation is in the right turn by the 'Farmacia' which has a green sign above the shop on the corner of the building

The double arch is in front of you on the Corso Puerto Nuova and there is a McDonalds just past the turn off on the opposite side of the road.

As you enter the road (there is also a big parking sign for the Piazza Citadella) the door to the Bed and Breakfast is parallel to the entrance to the underground car park.

It is basically a large three bed flat. There are two rooms with a shared bathroom and one with an on suite and a balcony (which we had)

The owners come and leave the buffet breakfast the night before (No food ?.it may be that someone came back slightly drunk and took it ?)

We rang the number and Sandy came and met us very quickly. She was very helpful and over the course of three days helped us access the Wi-Fi, provided us with a phone charger (after we had taken an American one) and most helpful of all allowed us to leave our bags for a few hours today as we had an afternoon flight. Thank You !

The location is literally four minutes walk from the Piazza Bra and the Arena.-so perfect ! There was a pop concert there last night which we could here from the flat -which Bob Dylan playing their on Friday night

The breakfast is not huge and if someone was greedy with the milk (for example) it could leave other guests hungry. I read in one review there was no hot water for breakfast. Whilst we were there another couple couldn't work it -not could we initially. Push the horizontal red lever towards the machine before you turn the lever downwards to pour the hot water -Hopefully this will make sense when you come to use it.

The shower in the room was small but so what. So was the price we paid   

The bed was extremely comfortable and other than hearing someone else come in on the first night there were no travelling noises from other rooms

For the money I would absolutely recommend it

I love the location and service I got there.  It is very clean.

Very close from centro historico. Very clean

We stayed for three nights in a lovely room. We shared the bathroom with the other guest and that worked well. Nice selection of food for breakfast including home made items. Three min walk to the Piazza Bra and it’s restaurants and the arena. We liked having a common room with comfortable couches to curl up and read - and not be in our room 100% of any at-home time. Fredrico was a good host.

We stayed at the B&B Happiness for 3 nights in June.  It's a great location about 5 minutes walk from the arena if that. 

We had booked an en suite room with private bathroom.  Yes the bed and pillows were hard but they were perfectly acceptable and comfy. 

Upon arrival we called Sandie as there was a sign on the doorsaying check in was between 2pm and 6pm and she arrived and let us leave our bags which was really helpful. 

The first night we had the whole b&b to ourselves.  Breakfast was perfectly acceptable although we only had breakfast once as we tend to eat late and were still full the next morning! 

If we visited Verona again we would certainly stay at the happiness b&b again.   Sandie also took the time to give us a map and show us where the must see sights were when we checked in which was useful. 

For once the hairdryer was really good as usually hotel hair dryers are poor and there was also shampoo and shower gel in the room and towels and bedding changed after two nights.    The room.with ensuite bathroom also has it's own balcony which is nice although we did not have time to sit put there. 

If you want a great central location you could do a lot worse than stay here. 

Seriously amazing location  - a hidden gem

No breakfast (the owner told us about that, but it would have been nice to have a coffee machine in the room), thin walls that make you to hear what happens in other rooms, beds are a bit noisy, no Wi-Fi and the windows are weird to open/close. 
Besides that, the location is truly great, from Verona porta nuova is 15 minutes walk and from piazza Bra is like 30 seconds walk and that is appreciated.

Good location, but…

Not the easiest to find, but location was great. Not a lot of room in the bedroom but we had everything we needed. 

We were told breakfast was 8-10 and we had an early start, so we were up and waiting for breakfast by 8AM, we hung around until approximately 8.30AM with no sign of anybody or any food....just a couple of empty bottles of juice in the fridge we looked in. So we went out to buy breakfast before returning to collect our luggage. The girl who worked there had by this time arrived looking like she had just woken after a heavy night with her friend, and offered us a piece of brioche.

To leave the tastes in our mouths a little more sour....the shower was freezing Cold and we had no hot water during our stay. 

Disappointed for what could of been a lovely stay 

We paid 230€ for two nights.
You feel like you are at somebody’s place who is renting a room to get some extra and easy money. When we arrived two kids where sleeping at the common living room (owners/manager’s kids, not guests’ children). No staff but a single guy who is only there to remind you what you will need to pay in addition in case you don’t fulfil exactly what they say. No touristic tips at all.
You must pay 15€ extra if checking in after 6 pm. 
You must pay 4€ if you want them to keep your luggage for a little while after checking out. 
Walls’ paint is falling. 
The shower is dirty, with plenty of black weird stains. No toilet lid. The room is not cleaned/Bed not made at all. No WC paper replacement, we ran out of it and since nobody is ever there we had to go buy some ourselves. 
Breakfast: extremely poor and cheap looking supermarket stuff which desappears after one family eats first, which means you’ll have to accept to eat cheap-looking supermarket biscuits and toast. 
Awful experience.

Scam. Dirty and badly kept. Avoid it.

This was the biggest disappointment ever!!
When we reviewed this b&b in June, it had an 8.1 review with excellent breakfast and coffee!!
Well.....that was a BIG LIE!!!
NO COFFEE, NO BREAKFAST....NOTHING!!
We read the reviews in their visitors book and the one day it was excellent the next day HORRIBLE!!
Sandy the manager promised that she will leave us coffee and milk in the fridge...that didn't happen and when we tried to contact her...she didn't answer our whatsapps and neither did she answer her telephone!!
We paid for 3 nights and ended up staying 1 night!!
Our rooms were not cleaned and she never pitched in the morning to prepare breakfast!
We want our money back!!
We decided to leave and found another stunning b&b around the corner!
We will not recommend this to anybody!
