181 reviewsWe loved our two week stay here. The accommodation is set amongst olive groves on the slopes of Monte Kronio, with views down the valley to Sciacca and the sea. The accommodation is very clean and the kitchen area includes a large fridge freezer, an oven and four gas rings, and sufficient pans etc. for self catering. All the windows have mosquito nets.There is a good degree of privacy when you sit on the patio enjoying the lovely views. Our patio got the sun all day, and we enjoyed some beautiful sunsets. The pool area is a short walk from the apartments through the gardens. Again there are lovely views, and it is a calming, peaceful place to relax. The owner is kind, cheerful and friendly. Sciacca is a bustling town with a working fishing port and an interesting history. It's not particularly tourist pretty, but there's lots worth seeing and the Piazza Scandaliato and the Baroque centre are charming. We would also recommend a visit to Castello Incantato, just a couple of kilometres outside the town. The work of Filippo Bentivegna is extraordinary. La Luna Nel Pozzo is ideally placed for the main ancient Greek temple sites in the west of Sicily. We thoroughly enjoyed the Valle di Templi in Agrigento, as well as Selinunte and Segesta. We found La Luna Nel Pozzo a lovely place to relax, in the evenings after sight seeing and also on the days we chose to stay put and just chill. There's no traffic noise yet it's not in a remote place and good supermarkets and restaurants are a few minutes away. Sicily is a beautiful island and we were met with friendliness wherever we went. We were very sorry to leave.
