Hotel Vergilius

This hotel is in a great location, less than 100 meters from the public beach. It is an old building which is very well maintained: everything is clean and everything works. There is an elevator, there is airco in every room, there is a large restaurants and some rooms have a small balcony. Best of all: the owners and staff are very friendly, they really make you feel at home. This hospitality comes at a very modest price, especially if you consider the prime location and the excellent breakfast. When we were there, the hotel also had a number of bikes for the guests to use, free of charge. Our room was small but comfortable, the airco was silent and worked well. Upon request they even brought us a small fridge, again, at no extra charge. There is no swimming pool, but the beach is very near. There is a parking lot which you can use a a modest extra charge. This is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Since the hotel is so near the beach, you do get some traffic and some street noise at night, but most nights are quiet and peaceful. When it comes to value for money, this is perhaps the best hotel I have ever been to. By the way: Riccione is much nicer than Rimini!
