Firstly, we found the owner Paco to be an exceptionally good man who responded to all of our needs with great generosity. We loved the view of the new port from our studio apartment and how the sun flooded our place during the afternoon. The bed was comfortable and the wifi was always reliable.  As described, La Salina is perfectly positioned between the old port and the very nice public beach. By exiting out of the back of the property you are immediately on the Via Roma, the main street of this charming town on an island rich in spirit and heart.  Paco arranged a superb day on a boat for us, as we arrived very early in the season and his fine boat was not quite ready.  Should we be lucky enough to return one day we would love to experience Paco's boat trip as we know how great it would be, as well as dine at his restaurant that we heard was very good.   We are so happy to have chosen La Salina and to have had the pleasure of being with Paco and his family.

Wonderful Place and Owner

I consider myself very fortunate to have found La Salina, the owner Paco and his family.  I could have stayed somewhere at twice the price, but no-one else has this location.  overlooking the harbour and the sea, very close to the centre, and perfect for my work.  If you want a formal 5 star,environment, this is not the place.  I however got a perfect service for my requirements.  I don't speak Italian, so Paco helped me understand the magic of Lampedusa.  I got a spacious well appointed apartment, and that very rare thing, working wifi.  They gave me a family welcome, including several excellent meals in a completely relaxing environment.  I also got a  new scooter and had my laundry done.  Paco is determined that his guests receive hospitality to please them and advises of local issues, such as imminent petrol shortages, best places to enjoy whatever you want to do on th island and gave free transport to the airport at 05:00hrs.  I sincerely hope I get to go back again, and would not hesitate to fully recommend La Salina if you want genuine family hospitality.

paco (the owner of the hotel) was very helpful and friendly. he even picked us up from the airport (what we didn't expect at all) and didnt charge us for it. furthermore he even took us to the airport for our flights back and didnt charge us for that either. 
the rooms are very spacey and we didn't have any problems at all. 
you can feel that paco is connected on the island and so he can give you all kinds of information what you need. 
you can feel that paco truly loves his job and it was always nice coming back home to the appartments.
we also recommend the meals he offers in the evening, great taste and big amount!

holiday in lampedusa

Excellent location, very friendly atmosphere. The studio apartment has everything you need: small kitchen, air conditioner and a beautiful sea view. Hotel is very quiet and peaceful. The owner of the place (Paco) and his family was very friendly. It felt like home. The price is suberb based on the quality. Also you must try the fish & cous cous, the best in town!

Fantastic Experience

I stayed in La Salina apartments for one week at a great price and with top quality service. Paco (the owner) and his family attended to me and my friend meeting our needs perfectly. There was plenty of space in the apartment with a beautiful view of the port, a nice breeze and natural light filled the apartment.The place was clean and comfortable with wifi available, something rather difficult to access on the island. On top of the at home feel, Paco was extremely helpful in getting us around further locations on the island, picking us up and dropping us off when we really needed. Otherwise, the location is rather central in that it is surrounded by the town center and Via Roma, the old port, and the beach.
