Hotel Ambra Cattolica

Our second stay in the Hotel Ambra, I did say last year we would be back, once again we were attending the Misano MotoGP......and again we were very well looked after by the 'Bandito' (Its a term of affection) Angelo and his lovely sister (not wife as I presumed last year) Daniela, as well as the always smiling Anna at breakfast each morning, who looked after me with scrambled eggs and bacon this year. The hotel had a bit of a makeover since our last visit and wow...beautiful handcrafted boats adorn the shelves, crafted by no other than Angelo, he has promised to build me a model lighthouse, which I look forward to collecting on our stay in Sept 2017 because we are definitley going back next year to this hotel. This year we cycled to and from the MotoGP circuit on complimentary bikes from the hotel, it takes 20 mins approx, a highly recommended way to get to the track, at the track you are allowed to take the bikes thru the first ticket barrier and can secure them safely. This year we chilled out and used the beach more, 2 mins from the Hotel, I cannot over emphasize how stunning this stunning this beach is. I have never been on a beach as well set up, it has everything including gyms, pools, slides, volleyball, boules, table tennis, roof top restaurants, bars, loungers , brollies, changing rooms...the list goes on, check out the little pier which serves food and drinks, a super spot to watch the sun go down and people watch, the charming waiter Gabriel and the owner Danny will make you very welcome. I can highly recommend the Dove C'era L'aquila restaurant which has a good menu choice including sushi, steak fillet was my choice...yum! Till next year Arrivederci amici miei
