Borgo San Nicola

We stayed here for one night after a cruise, and were extremely impressed. The room was large, beautiful and comfortable, with excellent WiFi. The proprietor is an absolute gentleman and let us check in early, and also went out of his way to ensure we were able to get a taxi to the airport (on our departure the streets of Bari were cordoned off for a racing event). The complimentary breakfast was lovely - freshly baked croissants, yoghurts, juices and coffee. Lovely location too in the old town, right beside the Basilica which contains St Nicholas’ tomb (Santa!). The beach is a 30 min pleasant walk along the harbour wall, with the large Ferris wheel approximately halfway. There were lots of lovely and cheap restaurants and souvenir shops close to the hotel too. It’s a hidden gem and I would be delighted to stay here again.
