We had a great stay in a huge appartement. The pool is fantastic and the breakfast was delicious. Maura, our host, gave us a lot of interesting information about the region. 
The region is very beautiful and not so touristic.


Great family vacation

Me and my family went to Forzello this summer. The house and swimming pool itself was amazing (but shared with other guests!) but we realised it was not exactly a place for us - for young people. Good thing is there are nice cities quite near (Ferrara, Venice 80km) - but it was anyway too hot to travel around, but the sea at this part of Italy is really bad. Dirty, not nice. Another big minus were the mosquitos that were very aggressive. Impossible to sit in the evening outside, do barbecue and drink wine. We used repellent but it didn´t work. We had the opportunity to borrow bikes to ride, so we went to the next village. It was nice but nothing special to see there. Maybe the trip at Po river could have been nice, we didn´t go there in the end though.

Beautiful house but a boring place

We stayed in Forzello for 13 days, 11 people, from 60 to 1 year of age. We found the place very suitable for family vacation. Of course the kids liked the swimmingpool very much. When we were not out on ecscursions, the children spent the most of their time in the pool. It had different depths and the children found their parts of the pool to play in, of course all the time under surveillance of the adults in the family.
We had five rooms in the big farmhouse. The owners told us that this house had been used by the farm-workers in earlier times, up to the 1960`s. Then followed some years when it was not in much use, before they upgraded it and made it into a place for tourists about 2000. The rooms are big, and they all have a separate bathroom. Free wifi and air-condition makes the rooms very functionable. The only minus we experienced was a noicy couplebed in one of the rooms. You there could not move without the bed gave some disturbing sounds. That should be easy to fix. San Basilio,  were the Forzello is situated, is a very calm place, only with a mediocre interesting, archeological museum, open from friday to sunday, an old church and a pizzeria. It is some distance to the shore in the Adriatic Sea. We found our place in Rosolina Mare, some 40 km away. You are dependent upon a car if you live her, and want to excperience the surroundings. Luckily for us the owners had some old bikes that we could use without further costs. With them we had som nice rides to the neighbour cities, Ariano nel Polesine. Riva and Piano. Forzello lies in a wonderful, flat landscape. To understand more of the history and to learn about the toil to cultivate the land, a visit to the museum in Ca`Vendramin is compulsory. 
Maura and her husband gave us a wonderful stay. We hope to come back.

Nice location for families

This is not a joke, this farm is probably the only hostel overlooking the ruins of a church, a cimitery, a well and Palace. Archaeologists date them back to the Roman Empire Age.
You really have to want to get to San Basilio, a hamlet made of one restaurant, One farm, One chapel and One Museum. The road will take you there exactly like the Romans used to. When invited to, the gracious landlady is willing to tell stories about the property which has been in the family for centuries. Large evidence of it is in the classic old furniture of the guest house. Our biking group appreciated the swimming pool, the patio, and .... the nearby restaurant. Large Groups can  be easily accommodated and there is plenty of storage room for bikes. Beautiful countryside in the deepest Po delta make it for a valuable stop on your way to the beaches.

Room with a view on the ancient ruins

My group and I were doing a self-guided cycling tour from Venice to Pisa, and this was our first real stop on our trip. After 58km in about 40oC heat (yes we were in the heatwave), this place was a wonderful sight to behold.  Having never stayed at an Agriturismo before, i was unsure what to expect.  I guess, the only way to describe it, is like a farm stay but on agricultural land.

The location was remote, as one would expect, but this place was extremely luxurious.  My room was about as big as my unit that i live in, and bathroom was about as big as my kitchen! The bed was massive and extremely comfortable.  I had two windows that opened out onto the front of the property, and the view was just wonderful.  Fully air-conditioned, free wifi, and a pool.  However, the pool needed a little bit more shade, but i certainly enjoyed the cooling off!

Breakfast was included, and i had no complaints.  All very tasty, freshly made, with a stack of food.

The eating place nearby for dinner was extremely delicious, and we had a great night of fun there. 

If you happen to be near here, i highly recommend this place.
