Nothing could have prepared the four of us when we booked into this magnificent B & B. Both host and hostess absolutely wonderful. The place?  I have no words.  Truly spectacular is where I could start.  Spotless.  Beautiful and such a delightful experience. The breakfast was over the top.  All in all we had the best time ever. "Joanna Lumley" as we called the Hostess was so very gracious and friendly as was her husband.  Thank you for everything it did not disappoint.  It's a must for a visit - you will not regret it. This B&B excelled in every way. The hostess was a charming and gracious lady. She made us feel so welcome and the house and garden was absolutely beautiful! My husband is a coffee drinker and his cup was always full! Breakfast in the beautiful dinning room was delicious. It was a very enjoyable stay 

What a pleasant experience. Pheasants and bunnies seen in the green areas. Rooms are clean and comfortable.  Each piece of antique furniture has a story. Owners couldn't be nicer.  Breakfast is good, and the grounds are lovely. I wish we had carved out some time to walk around the grounds, but it was raining the only opportunity we had to do so.

In any event, I think you will enjoy staying here. We sure did, and would do so again in a heartbeat.

Any room that my 14-year-old gets excited over is tip top in my book.  The drive into was gorgeous. You walk in and feel like you're stepping back in time to a very modern early 19th century Victorian house.   It's with a 5 to 10 minute drive of Blarney Castle and gardens.  The Garden was well maintained and absolutely stunning.  The house was.   There's no words.  It took my breath away.  We stayed in the Rose Suite.   I would to go back and spend a few more days there. 

Wow!  We took our daughters to this place and it was amazing!  Every corner of this home was requisite and regal. The host was simply incredible, nice and caring.   The grounds and rooms were impeccably clean and charming.  The Irish breakfast was delicious and filling. I wish we spent a few
More days here.

A hidden treasure on a hill in Blarney. Staying here is a bit like stepping back into the Victorian Era! That is all thanks to Olwen's attention to detail in the decoration of each and every room in the house. My wife and I spent two weeks in Ireland and this was our most restful and relaxing stop. The grounds are quite impressive! You'll likely see many bunnies enjoying it as much as we did. Be sure to ask Douglas about his car collection!

A gracious host to a beautifully kept country manor.  Our room was spacious and comfortable with a terrace overlooking surrounding grounds.  We saw various birds and rabbits around the property.  The breakfast room was beautifully decorated.  We were made to feel like stepping back in time!

This absolute gem within big and well-kept, park-like grounds just outside Blarney, the owners family home with many history and family memorabilia in quiet surrounding welcomes you and makes you forget work or worries straight away. With Olwen, her husband Douglas and her super- friendly staff and their smiles and cheery characters you feel on holiday on the spot. 
Each room is decorated in a different style with much  thought given to every detail.  The room is kept spotless and is nicely made up every day. This special atmosphere can also be found in the conservatory breakfast room with its cheerful and flowery decoration.
The breakfast itself covers everything from juice, tea, coffee, cereals, fresh fruits, yoghurts, different sorts of bread, cheeses, to daily varying cooked breakfast, jams etc etc. Olwen is very eager to  fulfill guests' wishes! 
It is wonderful to talk and laugh  with both of them, exchange ideas and listen to interesting stories from their many journeys.
They are very helpful in giving hints for daytrips or activities.
Maranatha Country Houset is so much more than just a bed and breakfast!



A wonderful guest house set in magnificent grounds. Our hosts were hospitable and gracious. The decor was something else, an eclectic mix of syles providing a real wow factor. We had the Champagne room which was extremely spacious having a third bed and its own balcony. The only slightly negative comment relates to the cooked breakfast which was pre-cooked and somewhat limited. But overall, to be recommended!

If you want modern and impersonal this is not the place for you ….. but why would you when you can stay in this beautiful traditional Manor House   with the warmest of welcomes from  Doug and Olwen. 
We stayed in the regal suit and it is exactly that regal ! The biggest jacuzzi bath with an abundance of bit water and the biggest comfiest bed ever ! 
Breakfast was amazing and plentiful and genuinely not nothing was too much trouble, the owners and the rest if their team were attentive without being intrusive and made sure we had everything we needed.
I know I said nothing modern however the wi fi and smart TV are the exception 😂
The grounds are just stunning too 

You deserve  every success as you really do go above and beyond and we could r have wishes for a nicer place to stay
