My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay!
The food is great, we had lunch, dinner & breakfast everyday, amazing quality for the price!
The staff is soooo nice.

The view is unique, the place is so peaceful and chill, we live in Bali for 4 years now, stayed in so many hotels & villas in this island but here is a haven of peace! We already plan to stay again very soon!

A great place to stay!

a little bit hidden between the ricefields and a magnificicant view !!
A pleasant drive in to the entrance. Very unique typical style and ancient (antique) decoration. Good and friendly staff and also the French manager. The seperate rooms in the beautifull garden were nice placed in order to enjoy the seaview in the distance 

Unique place for staying

The place looks great, nice facilities, nice view. The personnel is very kind. 

There was no hot water in the room, they tried to repair without success! 

The manager which was not on site, told us a price in the evening and changed the price the day after pretexting that he forgot it was the weekend.

Chic look, cold water

This place is an amazing place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surrounds of the rice fields. 

Absolutely amazing value for money.  We booked via airbnb had no issues, as opposed to the dramas we encountered with another venue 300m down the road which was three times the price of this place with mediocre service. 

The staff treated us like family and were so accommodating. 

The location is rural Tabanan, so there is not a lot around.  However if you have your own transport then you can explore the local beach, villages, Tabanan night markets or take a trip up to Jati Luwih.  The property can also arrange tours if you so choose.

It is a sensational place just to unwind and get away from the utter chaos that the likes of Kuta and Ubud have become.  No traffic jams here.   Take advantage of their spa and have a relaxing massage. 

Yes there will be insects around but that is the beauty of it.  The room settings are well appointed and clean. 

Venture outside the norm and give this place a try.  Only located a bit over an hour away from Denpasar, so long as traffic is favourable.  

We will definitely be returning, thank you to the host and staff at Villa Tangguntiti.  

Hire a car and give it a go!



Just bliss

When we arrived one of the local workers brought us to the nice little house we booked (after the French host said he couldn’t help us as he was gardening). It really looked nice and I started to unpack (rather a lot with a one year old). When I was unpacked the French host came to the house and said that they had an overbooking but we could stay in the bigger house of the owner next to the pool. When we came there all doors where open and it looked nice (except for the dressing that was full of mold so we put our clothes in the room which was big enough). When we came back after dinner the room smelt like a mouse cage but we thought it might be as the house hadn’t been used for a while. When we notified this at breakfast the local workers cleaned everything and in the evening the French host said it might have been a bat in the roof. After dinner when we came back in the room the smell came back. When we woke up in the morning there were feces lying everywhere in the room(!), the gardener smoked out the roof and there came like 50 bads out of the bamboo roof. They told us that this was a problem they were aware of. In my opinion it is inacceptable to have anyone (in particular a young child and a pregnant woman) sleeping in a house where you expose them to bats and their feces. Moreover we only had cold water in the room, the French host explained us that this was caused by an eco system they use to heat the water. Strangely right before leaving the gas bottles at the back of the house were replaced and after opening the hot water robinet you heard the starting of the gas kettle and all of a sudden in a miraculous way there was warm water. We were happy when our driver could bring us to our real 4-Star hotel in Ubud. If we would have stayed in the house we originally booked we would have been really happy guests as the rest of the property is really beautiful (albeit being on the decline) although the hotel might not be the 4 star hotel it claims to be. The local workers (including the local maître) are really nice and do whatever they can to accommodate the guests. But it is intolerable to put guests in a house with a roof full of bats and their feces, no matter which class of hotel.
