I was on a Chadar trek and stayed in Panaroma hotel in Leh. Good maintenance given the frozen condition.
Humble staffs at service. They provide nice breakfast. Hot water is available whenever required.
Good place to stay in leh. I recommend


I stayed in Hotel Panorama between 23 rd June to 30 the June 2018.Very cooperative staff,economical range,good rooms,nice hot water facility,excellent food. It is 1 km away from main market and is walkable.You can climb to Shanti stupa also from hotel,,
Lacks good wifi system. Good to stay for family who requires good,economical stay.

The hotel is situated at a bit distance of around 2kms from the main market. The best part of the hotel is the array delicious homely food offered and the hotel staff is amazing and always ready to help. The rooms and washrooms are clean and spacious. Like every hotel in leh , the hot water services are limited to 2 hours in morning and evening. The rooms are located in a separate building from the dining area. There is provision of bonfire and an outside dining as well. The leh palace and Shanti Stupa are also visible from the hotel. 

While you visit the hotel, do not forget to try the sumptuous poha and delicious momos.!

Review of hotel Panorama

Amidst beauty with great hotel service!

We have stayed here for 4 nights....The hotel is average hotel as good as guest house. The room size are big but poor maintenance by the owner. The bath and toilets were dirty, linen and towels were also not clean. The hotel is far from main market and Airport. You have to pay Rs.150/- one way for taxi to reach market. Best part of hotel was kitchen and room service staff. They have prepared delicious food for us. Overall the hotel required renovation.

Not to be recommended

Been to the hotel after completion of my Chadar Trek in Jan 2018 as it was a part of the package provided by the trek company.  

Firstly the pros - 
- amazing and very prompt staff, very responsive and great hospitality. 
- one of the few hotels operating in Leh during winter. 

And, the cons -  
- there’s nothing panoramic in the hotel. It’s about 2 kms away from the main market so, if you want to step out even dinner, be ready to shell 350 inr atleast for a one way cab!! That hurts on the pocket. 
- no WIFI. The mobile data is quite unreliable in Leh and hence WIFI is the mainstay generally. Funnily, in this day and age - the hotel has no wifi 
- no mobile network- with no wifi, the only hope is that mobile network is reliable. The hotel’s location is so amazing that neither BSNL nor Vodafone (roaming on Aircel in Leh) nor Airtel has any coverage in rooms. Voila, you’ve to get out to the hotel in freezing cold to just try your luck to get mobile network (to make and receive calls - data, fuhget it !!) 

Summary - Better avoid and find accommodation near market and with proper mobile network coverage (and/ or WiFI).
