Hotel New Ratan Deep

Located at the bus stand its a very good budget choice. The room and bathroom was clean and the staff very friendly. The food is nice but the helping could be more generous. good pale to send the night and to explore the region. Would recomand for a budget stay.

It was nice experience as we reached late night around 2.30 pm, still they have given extra blanket .

I searched online for some time to find a decent budget hotel in the Kumbhalghar area that was convenient for someone traveling without a car. This hotel is right in the town of Kelwara, which is accessible from Udaipur or Saira by bus. Most of the hotels in the Kumbhalghar area bill themselves more as "resorts", and you basically need your own car to get there. 
The room was basic but comfortable. The staff was helpful (though not totally accurate on the bus timings to Udaipur and Kumbhalghar). The hotel was a satisfactory budget choice.
To get to Kumbhalghar Fort, I took a bus from Kelwara to Kumbhalghar Circle, which is 2 km from the Fort. A jeep offered me a ride for 50 rupees from there, but there does not appear to be any "official" transport to the Fort or back to Kumbhalghar Circle. By taxi, it costs 500 rupees from Kelwara to the Fort.
There is one other similar hotel which appears to be a bit more expensive just nearby. I did not go inside to check it out.

It was nice to stay at New Ratan Deep.Good co-operative management as well as staff. Rooms were nice and food was also good. If you are vegetarian, it is right place for you. After staying there, no need to worry about finding out good food.

Good budget choice in the town of Kelwara

spent one night here after visiting kumbhalghar fort. close to the fort there are only spa hotels, nothing cheaper. 
this is far from the fort but we just wanted to stop for the night and leave to udaipur the day after.
they had one double room with private bathroom at 1000 rs and we took it.
we found a cigarette butt behind the door, a broken lamp, bed sheets were soiled and asked for new ones which were spotted too but seemed to be washed. quite dirty bathroom.
intermittent wifi.
it could be ok if they improved the cleaning, but i found it hard to stay.
