If you are looking to visit Uttara Kannada region for a holiday , you can centre your visit with a stay in Suragi.Ambience is  homely and pleasent , food with utmost love and care.
Less than 300 mts to Kadle beach,which is one of the cleanest and safe beaches for all age group.
You definitely can not go wrong  with Suragi, if you want to keep it simple and enjoy maximum.

A wonderful homely experience !! .. But at a beautiful serene place !! :) ... Thats just a summary statement !! :) 

Firstly, the booking related interaction with the owner Mrs. Meeta, customization to our booking needs (around food, rooms etc), accommodating some minor changes in the plan and cancellation policy in case Govt puts sudden restrictions on travel : Everything was transparent and smooth.. The rates provided were competent.. 

We were a group of 12 with 7 adults and 5 kids ranging from 2 years to 9 years.. So what you need is definitely a fun stay with all group staying and enjoying together but of course your kids should feel comfortable with the stay, food and people around.. Suragi offers that all !! 

Owners Meeta and Arvind are gem of a people !! .. Very pleasant personalities with great knowledge of the surroundings, both having prior corporate experience which reflects in their professional but still personalized interactions.. Their suggestions around some non-touristy places to visit, experience sharing and catering to some of our custom food related requests made it more homely experience than just a “stay provider”.. Arvind himself if an avid traveler and some of his suggestions around places to visit were amongst the best we visited around Kumta/Murudeshwar/Sirsi… 

The best part of Suragi is its proximity to a serene Kadle beach… This is almost like a private beach that is just 5 minutes walk from the stay.. No tourists or hawkers which has kept this beach very clean and pristine. We stayed for 5 nights and probably visited the beach almost every morning and evening 😊.. 

Food was very homely and had a local flavor which is what we needed on most of the days ! .. They do have a good kitchen staff (actually couple of ladies like your grandma who cook a very homely and tasty food for you 😊).. Also the cleanliness and hygiene was good.. 

Overall a perfect holiday ! 😊.. Thanks Meeta and Arvind !! .. I hope we visit Suragi again and of course stay in touch otherwise due to our similar likings 😊 !

Thanks for this wonderful holiday Arvind and Meeta. We thoroughly enjoyed the sights, sounds, weather, rain and fragrance of this beautiful place. 

Thanks to your guidance and directions, we could visit many new places. The Kadle beach was pristine and all of us enjoyed every bit of our experience here. Yana was a hidden gem that offered us some breath taking sights. Manjuguni Venkataramana temple was a new discovery for us, 

Coming to Suragi itself. I was amazed at the great attention to details you guys have given in building this unique stay. The structure (the tiled roof, sit outs around the house, open terrace, pathways and the lush garden), furniture (bamboo sofas, chairs, wooden cots and wardrobes), interiors (wildlife photographs, paintings and other pieces of art), recreation facilities (TT, carrom etc.) and the care for the guests (buffet arrangements so the guests self serve to their needs, coffee/tea/kashaya on the house, wonderful breakfast everyday - no repititions any day) made our stay here truly exhilarating.

We are leaving today, but we will definitely comeback for another stay sooner than later! Thanks for these happy memories!

As a family of 4 it was a very enjoyable stay at your place. The food and hospitality was simply outstanding. The cook is amazing and our kids mulled kidnapping her and bringing her to Bangalore 😀 The hospitality of Aravind and Meeta is incredible. The garden, trees, fruit plants are well maintained. The beach is a stone's throw away from the homestay. 
We are eagerly looking forward to returning soon.

We were a group of 9 adults and we kids and we had 5 rooms to ourselves. Cook and people there are very hospitable. Our stay was good with all the facilities including geaser, AC, good cots, beds, pillows and blankets. Its just about 300 m from kadle beach by foot. Food is pure vegetarian and with the right ingredients. Not too bland and not to spicy, homely food. Much recommended.

We visited this nice property during Xmas vacation and it proved to be a great choice. Meeta and Aravind as hosts were perfect from the booking stage all the way till checkout.  Amazing food with local varieties every day were cooked by Mai. 

Meeta and Aravind showed us around be it a beach walk for sunset or a small trek around the hillock or the cycling tour to the backwaters. Aravind took us to a Yakshagana performance  late night and it was a very different and unique experience. All in all such a variety and local experience was only possible because of our decision to stay at a home stay hosted by this passionate couple. 

I would recommend this place heavily and wish we could visit again soon.

A beautiful Nest of offerings that includes old world charm, historical places, pedal and kayak places to hidden yet scenic wonders . The gardens are a treat to watch for variety of fauna and flora ,laze around with a book and lastly local home made food sets up your taste buds all adding up to a well spent holiday!

Coastal Karnataka always had been on my bucket list of places to go, and as such when we decided on Uttara Kannada, we zeroed on Suragi for our stay, and we couldn’t have made a better decision! 

The property itself is bang on road, surrounded by lush greenery all around, and the moment you enter it you would feel it’s going to be one memorable trip, and the owners Arvind and Meeta made sure it was! Right from the start, we felt we are within family, and since we had a kid with us, all her needs (especially around food) was taken well care of. From the early morning bicycle ride to the backwaters of Agnashini river, to going to Kadle beach to see the sun disappearing behind the endless ocean, to enjoying a sip of hot tea sitting in the porch or to roam around the garden understanding the flora, everything was just picture perfect. We just loved it. And we being hardcore non vegetarians never thought that vegetarian food can be so fulfilling. We tasted some of the best vegetarian dishes while our stay in Suragi.

Uttara Kannada is divine and finding a place like Suragi to stay just makes your vacation a memorable one. All thanks to Arvind and Meeta for making our vacation so special. This is going to be our go to place in future whenever we are around Kumta.

Four days spent in Suragi with my family was a refreshingly relaxing vacation. It's just a few minutes away from Kumta town and in walking distance from the Kadale beach. Aravind and Meeta are perfect hosts. When we went the home stay was full in capacity but they made sure they paid attention to every group and made everyone feel at home. We made new friends with the groups staying there and even played games with them.  They suggested good activities to suit individual groups based on their interests. Aravind and Meeta took us for morning seaside hillock trek which was amazing. There are some awesome beaches, waterfalls, trekking spots and temples within driving distance. Garden around the homestay is refreshing. The cooking staff, Mai and Saraswathi, prepared local delicacies which made us nostalgic. All-in-all, Suragi is the perfect home away from home.

Me and my entire family were extremely delighted during our stay in Suragi during Christmas 2018 holidays.  Great hospitality , excellent house keeping , Delicious and very clean food and cherry on the cake is its proximity to one of the most clean beaches i have ever visited.  Thanks to Aravind and Mitu for making our stay a life time experience.  Dont miss out flying lanterns in the night under Aravind's guidance... it is an experience that words can not capture.  wish to go there very often. Sakkat spot maga !!
