Hill Charm Hotel

Though not in the main bazaar, this quiet hotel is fairly centrally located, with the railway station and its wonderful toy trains close by, with their picturesque little engines and nostalgic old whistle. The large warm room I chose in the Annexe did not have a view, but many rooms in the main building do, and from the terrace one can see the lovely city spread out on both sides with its colourful multi-tiered houses and the many landmarks, and the valley in front with the hills receding far away. (See attached photos.) The young manager Sameer and his cheerful staff are ever helpful, the service is prompt, the food is delicious, and they are keen to please. It may not be a prime property on the Mall but it is very good value for the money one pays.
