We stayed in December so the area was not very hot. The room are large but with just few furniture and no heat, we had to borrow tons of blankets to sleep. The staff was very nice and attentive. expensive for what it is.

As other travelers have written, the service was excellent and friendly, rooms were spacious and beds comfortable.  However, basic amenities were missing. Water was only tepid in a cold climate. Electrical outlets were misplaced (one in a closet, none by the desk). The hotel needs to provide hot water, luggage racks, space to hang clothes, and a space heater for cold nights. Minor issues included drapes that bunched on the floor, two missing light bulbs in our room, and an underwhelming breakfast that could be purchased on the street for 10 quetzales.

Kind service, big rooms, but not worth the money. At over $100 night, no hot water.

The staff is great! They'll do anything possible for you to feel welcomed and comfortable. The hotel grounds are very nice, it is surrounded by forests and therefore has a very calm and quiet atmosphere.

The hotel has a lot of construction still, the exchange rate was wrong, they charged me more than what expedia said on the site. They didnt have food available for us at 4pm. There was a weird smell coming out of the bathroom, room had a lot of bugs. The bed was confortable and the shower was nice. Breakfast was not fresh neither on time when we requested it. Hotel has a nice view of the montains. Wifi was terrible.

There are few thing they can improve, like painting inside the rooms, at least the master suite. water pressure from the pipes, and a larger food menu.
The best was the private tour that the hotel offers, there is a guy call Jose, he deserves a 5 stars review.
Pool was in maintenance, and some stuff in the garden too.

When we booked this hotel for our stay there were no reviews available for this property. But the photographs looked very attractive. When we reached there was a corrugated makeshift gate at the entrance which was very misleading. I believed that if the hotel was as beautiful as in the photos how could it have such a gate?
But once we entered it was exactly as it was shown in the photos and website. It seemed more like a huge house than a typical hotel building. The staff told us that there were a few more construction projects that were pending.
We were the only guests in the hotel that day. Our room was on the entry level on the left side. The room was very spacious with crisp white linen on the bed, there was a flat screen TV, a desk, chair and an armoire. But there was no in-room mini refrigerator. They did allow us to store some yogurt that we had purchased in their kitchen refrigerator.
The bathroom was very modern and roomy enough. 
One thing they could add was a mosquito screen to their bedroom windows; as there were none at that time we had to keep the windows shut at night.
There were only two staff members on duty and one of them did speak English. Later when the night staff arrived we realized that neither spoke English. So we used Google translator to communicate. They were very accommodating and helpful.
The patio in the back had a outdoor dining space where they served breakfast. The slipcovers of cushions on the chairs were soiled but upon request they did replace them with clean ones.
It was quite lush green around hence made it quite a tranquil place to be.
For breakfast we were served at the table, there was no buffet. We ordered scrambled eggs and a fruit plate. It was sufficient, but they could add some cheeses to the assortment.
The hotel was very new, probably less than a year old when we stayed. It probably had a few things that could be worked on and improved to make it better.
But overall a great homely stay when in Coban. 
This hotel is a bit further in from the main road and a little far from the town, so its essential to have a car to access the town.
Do try the Chinese restaurant Kam Mun during the stay in Coban. Very tasty and delicious chinese food as good as it can get in such a small town.
