A short ride in a dust road and 60€ is what it takes to enjoy the amazing view from this guesthouse. Rooms might be basic, but the landscape of Ithaca and the 180• view of the Ionian sea is definitely the ultimate luxury. The lady managing the property is a fine ambassador of Greek hospitality and will make sure your fridge is full and will pick you up from the port no matter what time you arrive.
No wifi or telephone around, so be ready to switch off your smartphone and enjoy the scenery instead.

Off the beaten tracks

lovely views and beautiful nature with a herd of goats roaming the grounds. The downside that that it's quite remote. The 30 min walk down is beautiful, but less so when you ate out and just want to head back, so you need motorised transport. We used a scooter which is doable but hard as the last 1.5-2 km is unlit, unpaved and steep so a car would be better.
Very friendly owners but service could be better (breakfast items, toilet paper, bedsheets and towels only changed/replenished once during our weeklong stay).
Room and balcony itself is very nice, spacious, luxurious and clean. BBQ on the terras and table under an enormous ancient olive tree provided us with some lovely evenings
