793 reviewsWhat a lovely hotel! We stayed here in September for two weeks and loved it. Our room was upgraded to a suite, so we had loads of space, with a large living area, a separate bedroom and a balcony with a sea view. There was loads of wardrobe and storage space and the air-conditioning was included in the price, which can be unusual in Greece. The hotel location is perfect – just a very short walk to the beach and just set back from the main road with the bars and restaurants. There are two pool areas, which were very clean, each with a bar for tea/coffee, drinks and snacks. We preferred the smaller pool nearest the reception area as it was less crowded than the main pool, where the sunbeds were a bit more crammed in. The food was great – better than expected for a three star hotel. There was a fantastic selection for breakfast, with hot food options, pastries, pancakes, waffles, fruit, yoghurt, cakes etc. Lunch and dinner was different every day, we especially enjoyed the moussaka at the Greek night, and the roast pork. The staff in the restaurant were super efficient, there was always a clean table available, plates and cutlery were removed promptly and the staff were regularly bringing out trays of fresh food, so none of it felt like it had been stood on the buffet for too long. The drinks available in the all inclusive package were beer, red or white wine, and local ouzo, gin, rum and brandy, plus soft drinks and mixers. The red wine was a bit ropey, in our opinion, but the white wine was fine. The cocktail of the day was good value too. A very minor niggle – tea and coffee was available in the restaurant at breakfast, but not for lunch or dinner, so if you wanted a hot drink with your meal or dessert, you had to bring it from the main bar. Overall, we loved the Gaia Village and would definitely stay here again. For a three star hotel, it was really good, and the all inclusive was great value. Highly recommended.
