We have stayed several times over the years and will be coming back again and again. Everything included in everyone's reviews is spot on. Mariana and her family always make us so welcome, like old friends. Spotlessly clean. Beautiful gardens. All rooms and apartments well equipped. Nothing too much trouble. Perfect location. Great parking onsite. Honestly it is faultless. My only hesitation in recommending is if one of you reading this gets the last room when I wanted it! 

once again an amazing stay

Our first visit to Paleochora and we were lucky enough to get the last available apartment. Excellently located for all facilities just a few minutes walk to shops and beaches. The apartment was exceptionally clean and very comfy beds. The owners were  lovely people and supplied a toaster on request. Nice mountain view to the rear and well kept gardens. We were only going to stay 3 nights but were so happy here stayed 5nights.  Loved Paleochora and we will be making these apartments a regular visit on our twice yearly visits to Crete.

Fabulous, a  complex.

I have been coming to Anthea for nearly 20 years, which is a recommendation in itself. It is always a super relaxing holiday with friendly and helpful hosts. The apartments are immaculate and comfortable providing a cleaning service daily and clean linen every 3 days. Anthea is situated between the sandy and pebble beaches and has the convenience of a supermarket and bakery within 5 minutes walk. Already booked for 2020 it is my safe relaxing place.

Wonderful atmosphere

We've been staying at Anthea Apartments for at least 20 years and had another fantastic time there this year. Mariana's and Theo's warm welcome is like coming home.

We stayed in one of the spacious studios with a well-equipped kitchen and bathroom.  The accommodation is bright, airy and maintained to a very high standard.  All our needs were catered for, our room cleaned and our beds made daily.  Nothing is too much trouble for Mariana and Theo to ensure their visitors enjoy their stay.

The Apartments, situated in a tranquil garden full of flowering trees and shrubs, are in an ideal location.  A long sandy beach is just two minutes' walk away in one direction and two minutes away in the other is a plethora of shops, restaurants and bars, which come alive with residents and visitors alike in the evenings when the town centre is closed to traffic. Buses and ferries are within easy reach to take you to a host of other destinations including the island of Gavdos, the Southernmost point in Europe.

A visit to Paleochora wouldn't be the same for us without staying with Mariana and Theo.  We thoroughly recommend Anthea Apartments to others and we look forward to staying there again on our next visit

Third year we live in Anthea - always good service by Marianna and Theo😊 Nice and quiet location, but some local traffic in the morning and evening. Fine surroundings - well kept garden. The rooms contain all you need. We will return!

Our favorite!

We are at the moment staying in this hell whole,we arrived on the 12th of September 2018,first night was woken by 10 to 15 lads throwing furniture from the second floor into the pool so after a long day getting here we only had 3 hours sleep,spoke to tui rep and she moved us from one room to another,thought ok and she gave the large group of lads a final warning so we thought ok,how wrong we were,we are now on our 5th night and still getting 3 hours sleep because of the noise,lads shouting,kicking in doors,girls shouting,swearing,ok I know people like to have fun but this start early evening and goes on until 5 in the morning,now we have mopeds being rode around the pool area,reving the engines and bleep the horns at 11pm,just spoke to the tui rep and all she could say was THIS HOTEL IS FOR YOUNG PEOPLE,she said WHEN WE BOOKED THIS HOTEL WE WOULD HAVE BEEN MADE AWARE this hotel is for young people only,I’ve just looked on tui web site and no where does it say this hotel is for youngest only that have no respect and treats someone else hotel like a dumping ground,they are other people I’ve spoken to our age group  and they have said they were not made aware of this youngest only,on the bright side the staff at this hotel are really nice,

What a horrible place

We have been staying here for 15 years - you don't do this if you are not completely happy. A remarkable family who make any visit remarkable. The situation is perfect, equidistant between restaurants, beaches and supermarkets. Easy distances for the bus or the ferry to Sougia, Aghia Roumeli, Loutro and Chora Skafia. A great tip is to catch the early bus to Omalos, walk the Samaria Gorge and ferry to Paleochora by 19:30, a great day out and the cheapest and quickest way to walk down the Samaria Gorge
