Monolithos Villa

Monolithos Hotel is a cute and comfy place which is very close to the Santorini airport. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Monolithos beach is just a short walk away and they served breakfast to the room balcony with a great view of the surrounding area. The bus to Fira stops right front of the hotel which makes it a great location. I highly recommend this place!

From the moment Andreas collected us from the airport to the minute we left this hotel, we were treated like royalty! The whole family made us feel so welcome and even asked usnto join them in their Easter celebrations. They shared their food and drinks both on the night we arrived and the next day and the cost of the room was very reasonable! Wonderful hotel; thank you!

A very nice family who rules this Hotel. Close to the airport. Nearby the beach and The restaurants in Monolithos. I only stayed one night,the room was basic, but clean and I had a nice view of the pool and sea.

A decent hotel with a short walk down to the beach. To go into town, bus rides took awhile to get in and out of town, so I would recommend bringing your driver's license to rent a scooter or ATV. The beach it is near is not very touristy, so if more quaint and local is what you desire, this is the place. It is a little far from the archaeological sites though. It is very close to the airport, so if that is a problem for you, beware. I sleep right through it, so it was no problem for me, as flights aren't that frequent anyway.

“A cute and comfy place close to the airport!”

Amazing family; simple hotel!

The best family and great location

A good price if you want some quiet

We spent 5 nights there from Sept. 7 to Sept.12, 2016, for 280 Euros. A fix deal with Booking .com, we could not leave earlier as we would have liked. On our arrival, we were asked to pay cash, since the card terminal was out of order, even though a member of the family running the place was a Phd in computer sciences. In the room, the TV was out of order, there was no tooth glass in the bathroom, a trickle of water from the tap and a dirty little grey rug as floor carpet.. No telephone, no real bedside lamp but sort of an interior lamp against the wall, useless for reading. The aircon was blocked on a 26 degree minimum, and guests were warned of a penalty of 10 Euros in case of misuse of it ! With one exception, the staff was stern, unsmiling and would nearly make one feel intrusive. The sound proofing was nonexistent (fortunately, no noisy guests when we were there). The worst was the included breakfast, impossible to take it freely. It was served in the room from 8.30 to 9.30, composed of one cup of tea or coffee, one small sandwich and sort of a crepe with nutella and a small plate of fruits. No second cup ! On the relatively roomy terrasse, absolutely nothing to hang out towels or wet swimsuits. This hotel is a real failure hospitalitywise and cannot be recommended. Cheap rate probably, but we would have paid more for a better service.
