Vasilis and Betty were amazing and very accommodating  hosts. We arrived late and Vasilis went out of his way to show us around the small village area . Even provided us with some free beverages and water. Our room was very clean, with AC, and very basic with the most amazing balcany view - ( exactly like the picture shows.) You will be up very high but REALLY worth the climb. Within a  3 minute  walk,  you  will arrive to some lovely restaurants , cocktail bars , boutiques, gorgeous  church, cafes with  again unbelivable views.  Don't hesitate to book this  memorable place .

Views, views, views!!!! The view alone from this apartment is worth it, not to mention the lovely porch where you can enjoy it from.  We stayed here for just one night during a trip to Milos and wish we could have stayed longer. Betty and her husband were so kind and flexible, letting us borrow some beach towels past our check out time and returning later in the day. The apartment is simple and straightforward yet still comforting and quiet. Most of the towns in Milos will have a free parking lot for everyone's use and the lot is just a short two minute walk away.

Amazing apartment with incredible views

All of Betty's studios have great views but there are two locations. The pin on Google maps is for the three older studios attached to her house. She also has a sign there on the pedestrian only street that runs uphill through the Plaka parallel to the cliff. That's where you will usually find Betty and/or her husband. 

The property you want though is her huge newly renovated one bedroom with two expansive terraces overlooking the Mother of God Korfiatissa Church. It is above The Art House if you are trying to find the location. Check the pics with this review.

For parking I recommend dropping people and luggage off at the square in front of the Palaios Cafe and then driving back down the hill past the large free parking area and back up toward Betty's sign. There is a smaller free lot there, just before the beginning of the pedestrian only street, behind a private home where you can walk up from.

Amazing apartment!

Betty’s has two different locations in Plaka so be careful what you book as the views are different and it’s not super clear on booking.com. One location seems to be behind the church, the other - where we stayed is a little further down the hill and has 3 different options:
- an un renovated double room 
- A renovated triple room 
- A renovated double room

We stayed a couple of nights in the first two (not the renovated double). All 3 have amazing views. The sunset view gives the famous Utopia café a run for their money. The terraces are spacious and comfy. 
The renovated triple room is big, airy, nicely decorated and fully equipped. There’s even a washing machine. There’s a big, very comfortable double bed and a separate single bed. It’s brand new and feels luxurious. 

The older double room is stand alone (the renovated rooms are side by side) and has a homey feel to it. It’s snug. If you don’t mind vintage furniture and decoration and you don’t go nuts when the shower curtain gets stuck to your back then this is where you get the amazing view at a more affordable price. There’s no washing machine here. 

If you talk directly to Vasilis (Betty’s husband) you can agree a price based on the number of nights you stay. The location is great - a couple of mins walk down to Fatses restaurant, a couple of minutes up to the great ‘Kayak’ coffee shop and church (sunset is an event there) and the Utopia café and lots of restaurants. 

The rooms are cleaned every day. Value for money is very good IMO. We’d go back in a heartbeat. 

Breathtaking views, cleanliness and lovely owners

We stayed in a lovely small room with awesome view. The room has a unique sea view. Sitting at the balcony and staring at the sea was so relaxing. The lovely couple that own the studios are very helpful and kind. The rooms are less than 5 minute walk from the Main Street of Plaka where all the restaurants are. The room was also cleaned daily and was very well taken care of.

Awesome stay

We were a family of four traveling in Greece on a budget.  We found Studio Betty's before we left.  We had a little challenge finding the accommodation the first evening, but after that our stay was fantastic.  Very close to the Plaka, we enjoyed dinners there; close to the bus stop so we were able to commute easily to places that way.  Betty and her husband were delightful and answered our question. I would stay there again.

Even though Betty had business to attend to in Athens and was not there during our stay, Helen was present and is a super nice woman. Very dedicated and smiley.

What are the odds of having a stop for directions with our car in the middle of Plaka (approx. 1000 living souls) and ask a woman where is Studios Betty and that woman, Helen in fact, tells she was searching us... haha, what a timing!

Our room had an amazing view (see our photo with this review) on the bay of Adamas and the western mountains of Milos, well decorated and fairly equiped to cook. The wifi worked great. If you have to choose a room, #1 would be the one, on the upper floor, the first door on your right when you get in the building, it's the one on the right when you look at the water from the balcony.

Even though you have to walk a little bit with your luggage (no parking immediately in front of the hotel since Plaka is mainly available by foot), don’t get discourage by that aspect since they have access to a private parking 2-3 minutes walk away from Studios Betty and you definitely want to be in Plaka for the charm of that beautiful little village and the fantastic view you get to eat your breakfast, lunch or even dinner (or the 5@7 rosé semi-sweet from Boutari... miam!!!).

TIPS ON MILOS

Rent a car or a quad (preferably a car since the roads are dusty and rocky) and go around the island to visit all the amazing beaches it has to offer (see photo with map provided by Milos Rent, our car rental company)... its a must. Choose a small car as the roads can be very narrow.

Visit plaka for at least 1-2 hours, it is worth it. Get lost in those small alleys where you will encounter many funny cats, charming little boutiques, cafes, bars and restaurants and go up to the castle on top of the hill, the 360 degree view of the island is worth it.

Visit all the fantastic beaches. In order of importance from our point of view:
1 - Sarakiniko: the most original one... with the white rock formations... it seems you are on another planet... plus you can do good cliff diving (see photo with this review).
2 - Firopotamos: the most beautiful one (mountains around, superb bay, intimate, little colourful garages for fishing boats... there even are accomodations).
3 - Tsigrado: the most difficult to access to... quite impressive and original... not for everyone... you need to go down nealy 50 metres with a cable and ladders to go down to that secluded beach... not busy at all, there were three naked ladies when we arrived!
4 - Papafragas: can also be difficult to access since you need to go down approximaltey 20 metres on rocky wall. Very small beach located in a canyon, a must see, very cool.

All other beaches are cool (Firiplaka, Paliochori and so on), but more classical.

We did not do the day trip by boat to go visit a couple of places, the main attraction being Kleftiko. We were just there 3 days and preferred visiting the island beautiful places instead of spending 60 euros per person to go on a boat with all you can drink beer and ouzo and cheap tuna spaghetti... because all the companies offer the same kind of package (and the same spaghetti meal... come on guys, try to be a bit original and stand out from the other companies). The guy from the car rental compagny had told us that since we were at the beginning of the season (early May), we might be able to get the price down to 25-30 euros per person if we ask the operators to remove the free alcohol and the meal, but we tried and that was not an option for all 5 companies we talked to.

Fantastic views, charming Plaka and great hotel/service

The room was spacious and comfortable with a large patio that overlooked the beautiful scenery! Nice to have a kitchenette for breakfast items. Close to nice restaurants too. Very peaceful place and we hope to visit again soon.

Nice location and wonderful view

It was not an easy task to locate Studio Betty! It was by sheer fluke that we found it 
as Google maps places somewhere different. A traveller we met said he thought that Betty had various locations so that could be why?!? We didn’t get to meet Betty but Anna looked after us so well. Room was always clean and well serviced. The room (no 1) had an outside terrace with views to die for! The room was large with basic but adequate facilities. It was a short walk to restaurants and cafes in the Plaka. There was free parking available in Pisa Plaka about 200-300 metres away.
