We called Dennis up in a bit of a flap as we had been sorely disappointed with our original booked and paid for accommodation.
Dennis gave us a price, offered us a room and even allowed us to check in early. The twin room was clean, comfortable, spacious, had a fully functioning air conditioning unit, a stone's throw from the beach and tavernas and beautifully appointed.
Dennis and his lovely daughter made us so very welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

First rate!

Yes, good. Why do I say that? Well, for no real reason I found myself on this site and I just had to look at what was being said about Katelios. Oh, Katelios. What lovely memories.

You see, for something like 15 years my late wife Janet and I would spend a couple of weeks in June there. Janet died in 2003 so you can work out when our visits started. Then it was a real fishing village with just three tavernas and a late night bar. I'm so pleased to be able to say that in all the time we went, and in spite of the fact that it did/has grown somewhat, it retained a special homely atmosphere. We went so often and for so long we always said that we felt like we were going home. To family.

So, anybody who is thinking of going, does go, embrace the place, the people and please give them my warmest regards and thanks for providing such wonderful memories.

Oh yes, if Spiros and Dennis still run The Blue Sea, please tell them that I still put a dash of Worcester Sauce in my cream and garlic mushrooms. That was supposed to be their family secret recepie. But, at 2.00am one evening, well.....

Cosy rooms with adorable little balconies and pleasant views. Situated on a side road from the waterfront, this is a perfect place to stay for immediate access to a range of tavernas and bars (and easy to stumble back to after a touch too much ouzo). The rooms and bathrooms are immaculately clean and kept that way every day you go out exploring. The free WiFi is faster than expected, and there is a TV channel that shows programs in English. Dennis, the owner, is a very pleasant man who can't do enough to keep his guests happy - I mentioned to him that the water pressure in my shower was a tad low and he immediately replaced the shower head there and then. The rooms have kettles,  hair dryers, mini fridges and toastie makers. Beds are comfortable and the shutters on the windows allow for privacy whilst still delivering warm, fresh sea air. Have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

Brilliant location,clean,quiet and relaxing. A perfect holiday if you like a bit of peace and quiet with wonderful but not intrusive hosts
Very close to the beach,sea and tavernas,great value as well
Local taxi's took us to the airport and a must do visit to the capital
We used the boat taxi from the harbour to visit nearby skala
You won't regret a holiday here

Attic room apartment with free aircon. Bins emptied daily, beds made daily. Lots of clean towels. Juice and water provided, also washing up liquid and some toiletries. One minute from the beach and next to a grill house, amazing smells!  Wi-Fi excellent, quiet, will definitely return. A good price and communication too. A*

Great little place

Spent 3 nights here, early September. Upon arrival we were allocated room 6, which balcony directly overlooked the eating area of trip advisors number 1 grill house in Katelios.  I asked for a different room, which was granted with no fuss. Room 8 overlooked the pleasant street with a partial sea view. The room was clean and basic with excellent air conditioning. I would happily stay again, but only if situated to the front of the accommodation. 


Good no frills accomodation

Fantastic location in a typically Greek fishing village, Close to beach 50mtrs shops and taverners. Very quiet but enough going on to entertain. Wonderful host on call if needed, rooms are kept very clean with regular spruce up throughout your stay. Basic room but more than adequate, relaxing calm and safe.
