Galaxy Hotel

Stayed at the Galaxy Hotel for 6 nights. This was the base for my first walking holiday. Lovely family run hotel. Basic but clean. Lovely sea view and balcony. Room (twin for single occupancy) perfectly adequate and comfy beds and pillows. Air con, tv, hairdryer all available but not used. Fridge was great to have to cool bottles of water and wine (3 euros from local supermarket). Water from taps is drinkable so just filled my bottles daily. Kettle with tea and coffee. Ample wardrobe space. Bathroom grand, no issues with hot water bathroom got a bit wet after showering but this didn’t bother me , it’s how I remember Greece from many years ago. The breakfast was lovely. I had bread with ham cheese and tomatoes then either yoghurt made on the family farm with their own honey or sour cherry’s or I had homemade creamy rice pudding a few days. The family and staff were all very friendly and hospitable. Everyone felt safe and wore masks as is the current guidance. Nice bar area for pre drinks in the evening. Close to lots of fab restaurants. Would definitely visit again if I come back to the beautiful island of Evia.
