Arrived late evening due to the delayed arrival of the Anek ferry from Venice - campsite easy to reach from the ferry port. Caravan booked, 15e per night so this was never going to be luxurious!

 Caravan under an awning, clean and basic. There was a/c which was thunderously noisy but probably the only way one would survive in the heat. Bedding and towels provided. Table and chairs outside and shower block not far away. Clean and modern. Ate at the campsite restaurant which was good. 

There were tents and also trailers which looked to be semi permanent. Felt safe and campsite quiet although there is a beach bar near the entrance. The location is wonderful, beach was 50 paces from the caravan and water was clean and clear. 

Would not have wanted to stay for longer in the caravan but location great - take lots of mossie repellent - they reign supreme most likely due to the lagoon at the back of the campsite.

Late night arrival from ferry - idyllic swim from the beach - keep expectations realistic!

We booked for a week via Booking.com and ended up leaving first thing after just one night. This place seems to have really gone downhill since previous reviews which are somewhat dated. They sold us a pitch saying they had room but on arrival there was very little space amidst the permanent constructions which line the beach. It is essentially a trailer park. We ended up having to pitch our tent between an overflowing rubbish bin and a broken down car. There was a party with extremely loud music which took place from 1-6am with lots of people walking up and down and shouting loudly outside our tent. Dogs were roaming free and urinated on our bags and our tent. There was rotting food everywhere left out for stray kittens and the beach was covered in cigarette butts. It felt edgy and not the sort of family friendly campsite we were led to believe. Reception staff felt disinterested and the whole vibe was that it was poorly run and not cared for. We moved to a clean, well run campsite down the coast where we immediately breathed a sigh of relief - the contrast was stark!

Gone downhill, tired, edgy, poorly cared for

On our family gap year and Covid -19 struck .... we got ‘stuck’ in Camping Drepanos (which the local Igoumenitsa authority agreed to keep open for stuck campers). The kindness shown to us by the managers Nikki and Nicholas was just wonderful at such an unsettled time. We Stayed for almost 3 months until safe / permitted to move around Greece once more. It was lovely being set up at the quiet area at the back of the site. Bathroom facilities good. On beautiful beach. Great sunsets. Nice walk into Igoumenitsa. Highly recommended

Greek Lockdown spent at the wonderful Camping Drepanos

Great location, cristal water, quiet and mirific view. We booked a tent but we change it with a room with private bath and minibar, poor wifi in all camping area.
The campsite has everything you need to feel good. The beach is long and wide with free sunbeds and umbrellas (you have to order something to drink at the bar to have a free chair). At the end of the beach, where the sunbeds end, there are olives where you can put a hammock directly on the beach. I went there with 3 of my friends, there was plenty of parking lots and the place was full of nature, trees and bushes everywhere, and facilities for people with disabilities. We rented a few tents which were pretty spacious and water resistant, as we saw, there was a rainfall and no water got into our tents. There were public toilets and shower and a cleaning lady cleaned them at least twice a day. The staff was great, friendly,  polite, and willing to serve. I rate 4 stars because the fridges were public but unorganized, the facilities for cooking, dishwashing and laundry were mediocre and poor, there was a problem with the water in men's showers, it didn't provide constant warm water but in pulses of warm and cold, the sea was a bit dirty probably because the Igoumenitsa dock is about 3 kilometers away, the sand was clean and great thought. We had a great time there and we will probably come again.

First time in organized camping and it went quite well

The new washing and toilet facilities are great, beach is lovely and easy to get to igoumenitsa on cycle path. I was overcharged €10 on leaving, i should have checked and only realised when we were some distance away. The restaurant was dreadful, the wine was more expensive than anywhere else for house wine and tasted like fruit juice. My husbands steak was so tough you couldn't cut it. The surly waiter said it was because it was local fresh meat, whatever he meant by that i do not know. Suggest they go to lidl up the road or the butcher in igoumenitsa where we had previously bought quality fresh meat. My squid came fried with some of the plastic wrapping on. He decided that he would charge half price for this though i should realise it was not in the squid but only some the chef forgot to take off!?!? He really didn't want to talk to me as the woman but just to my husband. This spoilt our enjoyment of the campsite so we moved on.

Camping fine, restaurant poor

My mother used to say "shut up if you can't say something nice". Unfortunately, not all advice can be always kept.
This is a generally nice place. Unless you stay more than two nights. 
More so if you happen to see the apparently dead tents occupying all the nice waterfront places come to live with energetic and overly loud locals who turn the volume control on their sound devices to max and happily grin to you "Greek law allows for noise until 12pm"
Otherwise nice place with outdated wcs, defective showers and warm water while the sun shines.
If you're out for a happy, quiet vacation, STEER CLEAR.

Spacious property with great location on a endless sandy beach with beautiful sunsets. 
Staff helpful and nice.
Shared WCs/bathrooms always clean. Plenty of hot water - no coins or chips.
Restaurant with very reasonable prices and tasty traditional food.
The only thing I miss are bungalows for people who don't own a camper or caravan and are not willing to stretch a tent for 3-4 nights.
And don't forget to bring with you mosquito repellent.

Not bad at all

Drepano Beach is a great location. Quiet, intimate, on the heart of the nature. We discover it accidentaly, following a local recommendation. We spent half a day there and we had such a beautiful, relaxing time. The sunset was like a dream and the atmosphere so dinamic and refreshing. Please don't miss it, if you're around.
