What a great place! Our room was comfortable, well equipped, and had a view to die for. The restaurant's food was delicious (we ate there every night) and the kitchen staff was able to accommodate my food restrictions, as I have celiac disease and can't eat gluten. At breakfast one morning they even made me a special dish! Highly recommended.

Beautiful, comfortable, delicious

 Despite  a couple of regretable niggles we had an immensely pleasurable stay at Adrakos set on the hillside overlooking Mirabello  Bay a truly spectacular location arranged along the lines of a Spanish pueblo. The less expensive rooms appear to represent far better value as they are larger than our suite and from our very brief occupation of room 26 better equipped. If you are a sun lover opt for an upstairs room and downstairs if you prefer shade.
Most guests only seem to stay for a few days and have hire cars the major plus point for us being we had the fairly substantial immaculately clean pool to ourselves for most of the day almost like having your own private villa but at a fraction of the cost. For those without a hire car the centre of Elounda is barely 5minutes away at a remarkable €10 each way in an air conditioned Mercedes.
Breakfast is substantial,varied and served at your table and can be tailored to individual guests preferences.
Our stay at at Adrakoswas made truly special by the presence of Efthimis who seemed to be everywhere and I trust Anna & Costis fully appreciate what a unique talent they have in this remarkable young man who incidentally made us the finest Mojitos we had during our stay on the island and we undertook extensive research .
The resort certainly has it's shortcomings and quirks, needs investment and a more thorough maintenance regime but as a base for the budget conscious travellers we have no hesitation in recommending a stay at this rather unique venue

Comfy rooms with great view

This is an easy recommendation for everyone who is planning to visit crete. The apartments are furnished relativlely simple but contain everything you might need for your stay, including a small kitchen and cooking utensils. They are being cleaned regularly. 

The location of the apartments is great, it's close to Agios Nikolaos and Elounda, both of which can be reached by bus ( a bus stop is right next to the apartments). I arrived at night and when I woke up the next morning I was astounded: the view is just breathtaking! You can see the mountains as well as the sea right from your window. 

The food, that the restaurant offers, is delicous. You can taste that it's freshly prepared. 

The real highlight of my stay where the people that work here, the way they took care of me was amazing! Everyone was so kind and open, it was such a pleasure to be able to have people like them around me. Despina gave me some great tips about what places are worth a visit. She also took care of my breakfast, I didn't even have to order something, she just asked me if I had any alergies or if there's food I don't like and created something. And she never disappointed! Same goes for Efthimis. Whenever I had dinner at the restaurant, he made some great suggestons as to what I should try. During my whole stay, both of them made sure that I felt comfortable and enjoyed my time.

Usually, I don't write reviews but I felt like this is the least I can do after the amazing time I had at Adrakos Apartments. 

You can't go wrong staying at this place

As a couple we stayed at Adrakos apartments for 5 days by end of September. It’s close by Elounda, a charming fishing village. We particularly enjoyed the sea view over Spinalonga, the large size apartment with a terrasse, the excellent breakfast and dinners and most importantly the friendly staff. They are extremely focused on customers needs.

The accommodation needs to be renovated and some furnitures repaired (for example difficult to draw the curtains, static electricity in the shower, no light on one of the bedside lamps, I asked to repair but nobody came…) We only had one small soap and a few shampoo tubes (shower gel was out of stock) so make sure you come with some stocks. 

The proximity to the road could be annoying due to the noise of the cars but it didn’t prevent us from good sleeping. 

Overall the value for money is correct.

Nice accommodation with friendly staff

The problem with this place was that the view was so breathtakingly beautiful that we didn't want to leave our balcony!
No other problems! What we were looking for was a peaceful place with a beautiful view, a pool we wouldn't be sharing with crowds of people, a place to relax and recharge our batteries. Check, check, check, check, check....!  We loved every minute and would have loved to stay longer!

The problem with this place...

We stayed in Adrakos for 7 nights and it was not long enough! The location is perfect - the views over Elounda are breathtaking. It is only 5 mins from Elounda (€9 taxi). 

The rooms had everything you needed, and the terrace was ideal for relaxing in the evenings or having a lovely breakfast while admiring the view. 

The swimming pool was also good. Sunloungers always available so didn’t have to wake up super early to bag one. 

The restaurant on site (Terassa) is phenomenal and we had our favourite meals here. There were lots of people coming to the restaurant especially so make sure to book dinner in advance. 

However the best part of our stay was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. Kostas and Anna are incredible, and are always happy to help with anything. 

We had such a great time that we are already planning to return next year!

Beautiful hotel in Elounda! Perfect location and place to relax!

Everything about Adrokos was brilliant. The staff were all happy, friendly and more than helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

The views from the apartments are incredible and you can sit for hours in your room, the restaurant, the pool and never get bored of looking at the blue sea and surroundings. We chose to stay in the junior suite and having your own terrace and hot tub was a real bonus and really helped us to relax. 

The restaurant, Terrasse, which is justifiably well known in the area for quality, serves excellent food and wine and we didn't have a single poor meal, in fact we had several excellent meals!  A particular mention has to be given to Despina who educated us every evening in the restaurant and ensured we ate and drank well, also arranging for a brilliant last meal of salt baked local fish with the chef. The breakfast is plentiful and excellent value for money, setting you well up for the day. 

Adrokos is the perfect place for a quiet and chilled holiday. You can easily get to both Elounda and Agios Nikolaos by taxi for about €8. However, if you wanted to search further afield you probably would need to hire a car to get around and up and down the hill - but the location is what makes this place so special so it really wasn't a problem for us!  

There is so much good about this place and we'll certainly be back.

Amazing place to stay - highly recommended!

This is hotel is perfect in so many ways, the view, the staff, the food - it has all you want for an amazing stay. After staying for 7 nights (which is not long enough) we are already looking forward to returning.
