Sun Nicolas Hotel

Absolutely blown away by this hotel. The price was unbeatable, as it has a 2 star rating i wasn't expecting much but this is easily a 3/4 star hotel. Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean with all the facilities needed: fridge, cooker, aircon, shower room, storage and a nice little balcony overlooking the pool. There is a locker and shower room to use when you have checked out. It was kept immaculately clean and was decorated very nicely. The lady on reception is very friendly and we felt very safe and at home here. The pool is really cute, with sunbeds and flowers around it. My daughter enjoyed playing in it after a day at the beach and was happy with how deep it was at the deep end. To the front of the apartments is a bakery/ ice cream parlour which is great for kids and a convenience store very close by. There are many Greek tavernas near and a brilliant kebab shop right next door. Excursions pick you up from the cafe across the road and the local bus stop is 1 min away. The beach is less than 10 mins walk away and is absolutely stunning. There are lots of different beaches / coves that are accessible by walking. Some have water sports, (we particularly enjoyed the pedalo with the slide), another had caves to explore, and there are some great beach bars at all of them. Chania is a wonderful city with lots to see and do, I'd definitely recommend a night out there if only for something to eat. We also took an excursion to Elaphonisi which is out of this world. All in all we absolutely loved our stay here!
