We ate late dinner, the restaurant was full of guests, but the staff was quick and proffessional. Moreover the food was really good, our steak (medium rare) was really delicious - the cook is a real master. The chief of the restaurant took care of us. The food and the service - top class.

Warm welcome, best breakfast service I had in my life. Marina dies her very very best to satisfy all needs of the guests. Not only dies she make fresh cakes daily, her Eierlikör pralinees were so excellent

Best breakfast Service ever, nice and Quiet stay

My room (11) was at the very top of this very old building, with views over the river.  Lots of space, lovely antique wardrobe & writing desk and even a tiny sitting room.  Bathroom good sized and modern standard.  Tram stop 2 minutes walk and riverside cycle path 2 minutes the other way.  Breakfast offer was just right for me - everything I wanted (without a million choices) and a very good fruit salad 'made with love'.  Only gripe is that the restaurant is completely separate from the hotel - reception said they could not make a reservation for me (even though is is 2 metres from the desk) so I had to do this online because it is popular.  Food is very good - which is why it was full by 7.30pm on a Monday.

Charming and modest - nearby the river but also the tram!

We touched down at 11 AM & after walking miles at the airport finding the train, where we stood the entire trip to Mannheim, then took the tram (being thrown down in the isle when it took off while trying to find space for the luggage), then walking up to the office at about 1:35 PM (5 minutes after the staff's 90 min. lunch break begins. Fortunately, they saw our luggage and figured out that we were the people who payed for the apartment. They then, graciously came back in and got us the keys and gave us the directions to the apartment. It was several blocks away, dragging our bags & not marked very well, but managed to fine it by trying different locks. Then a occupant helped us find # 8 after wondering around the courtyard for several more minutes. 19 small steps up. We are in our late 60's and 70's with knee/hip/back problems & hauling heavy bags. Not a very good beginning, but once inside, we were very pleasantly surprised. Overall we enjoyed out stay and would recommend it.
