Daun

I don't understand many of the previous reviewer's issues with this hotel. We found the grounds to be lovely with nice patio seating and excellent service. The rooms were very clean and new with good t.v. channel choices, a mini bar, a safe, a Bible, and wifi. There was a large counter, writing area which I appreciated. At no time did we smell farms or see traffic. The breakfast was good, typically German with cold cuts, cheese, rolls, yogurt, coffee etc. My room was on the third floor. There were many stairs to climb but then, that's how it is in Europe. I had to venture downstairs to attempt to figure out the wifi. The owner was somewhat crusty and not very helpful with this. I was unable to access it with his minimal explanation. At breakfast, we were told not to sit at a certain table in a brighter area because it was reserved. Then we were gently reminded that breakfast would soon be ending and then it would be brunch. In other words, hurry up. Perhaps that could be interpreted as impolite personnel. Essentially, I would stay here again should I require accommodation in this area.
