Don't expect too much, not the most modern of rooms (a lick of paint and updating of the furniture would help) but more than adequate for a very reasonable price. Situated on a very quiet street in the Altstadt literally a stone's throw from the U7 underground station. 

Pleasant enough and good location

We stayed here for 5 nights, and where quite pleased with the apprtment we got. While the room was worn down quite a bit, it espacially could do with a paint job, and one or two pieces of furniture should be changed, the overall experience was good.

The two rooms where medium sized, clean and everything was in working order. The is a small tv, with a number of German programs. The wifi was both sable and fast, which you don't see often in German hotels. The bathroom was quite big, and had a bathtub. In the small kitchen (integrated in the livingroom), you had everything you needed. It is posible to park right outside the door, or at a close by parking lot (100 meters). There are several playgrounds the nearest just 50 meters away, and there are also several restaurants within a 10 minutte walk. It takes about 10-15 minuttes to walk to the U-bahn.

Many others have pointet out steep stairs, we had our 2 year old daughter with us, and she climbed the stairs with no problems or effort.

There is no street noise at all, but there is a steady stream of airplanes landing at the nearby airport. 

If you want to spend a couple of days in Spandau, this is a cheap and very central posibility, that I can only recommend.

Good hotel when looking at the price

 Good location of you need be in the very center of Spandau old town.

the room was located on the 4th floor (and stairace is steep) with no lift and the ceiling was very low. you haven't information about the floor when you book therefore be aware. 
we booked a room for three person and the second bed is the worst thing I ever ever try: it crick, crack and groans with every move and stick into your ribs like and night demon; 
-the staff was friendly but the russian speaking owner may treat you like a criminal ) 

Climbing to the room

Fine for what it was. It is extremely dated, and for a hotel only 7 years old pretty tatty now. But spacious enough, and very near to the Christmas market. The shower was pretty horrendous, but apart from that we liked it. I wouldn't recommend for families as I am sure every other guest could hear my children (sorry). But recommended for couples.

It's alright

The other comments are correct.  Very clean and the accommodation is to a good standard.  However, there were no smoke alarms in the room or visible fire exit procedures.  Also, the windows had no child locks.
