this B &  B was a pleasant surprise. clean room, great breakfast, kind owners, although Mme Veronique only speaks french. near to a metrostation, fast exit to the highways around Lille. My room was on  the second home of this end 19th century house, with own shower and toilet, comfortable bed. the breakfast was in one word fantastic: coffee, tea, fresh croissant, fresh bread, chesses, jams.. Yes, I liked this place.

nice B & B

Situated in suburbia in south Tourcoing on main road to Roubaix right next to Carliers metro station.  Tastefully furnished large Victorian style house with 2 ensuite double  & 1 twin bedroom on the 1st & 2nd floor.  Good continental breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese, croissants & bread. Veronique's English wasn't too good but neither was our French! - but it wasn't a problem & we got along fine.  Just down the road is an excellent reasonably priced small locals food style restaurant at La Bonne Table - it gets busy and finishes early, so book an early time!  We used the Halte as a road bike cycling base for 3 nights with loops into Belgium, which worked well - bikes were safe at the bottom of the stairs.  Chambre Design looks out on the back of the property & is quieter at night if you have the window open.
