We came to Megeve for a friend’s wedding and decided to stay for a week and go walking. We’d never been walking in the mountains or come to the Alps in the summer and didn’t know what to expect. Ferme de Marie is a phenomenal hotel! We were so impressed with the service here. Breakfast was top notch, best scrambled egg. The hotel is a little haven nestled in Megeve. The spa is amazing. We had a couples massage and it was the best we’ve ever had. The hotel had many guests but it strangely never feels crowded. Ben and Mael were the concierges who planned the most wonderful walking routes at a moments notice. They had an encyclopaedic knowledge of mountains. We went on 6 amazing hikes, all unique, where we felt we were the only people on the mountain. The hotel has a free shuttle service to run you to the cable cars and starting points for the walks. The hotel also has a secret chalet up in the mountains. On Wednesdays they have a lunch. We went. Best value lunch in Megeve! Really excellent food in a breathtaking location. Antonia on reception was excellent and made everything seamless. We were really impressed. We will definitely be coming back.
