Warning! This B&B is up a huge hill.
We certainly didn't mind the massive hill as the views were fantastic, the walk through the Basilica gardens is lovely and we were in no rush. 
The room we stayed in was small, but that was fine with us. It was clean, with a TV, radio and chest of draws- the best was very comfortable. You have your own bathroom and toilet which is opposite your room via the corridor. Again, not a problem at all.
The breakfast was typically French- a yoghurt, pain au chocolat, bread and peaches... Served in the owner's lovely shared space.
We were made to feel very welcome.
Our one night cost €76- great value.
I recommend this B&B- especially if you like walking up and down massive hills! 

Top of the world - well, Lyon 

I booked Home Sweet Home on line after looking at the web-site.  It took a couple of e-mails back and forth to get a room with private bath (which was across the hall from our room . . .which worked just fine).  Chantal does not speak much English and I do not speak French, so I think that was some of the confusion.
  We arrived by train from Paris, took the subway and the funicular and found the location fairly easily. (Chantal had given us limited directions) We travel with limited luggage which was good for getting to the location because of the elevation. There is no commercial businesses in the area (except for two restaurants). The fantastic Gallo Roman Musee is just across the street.  It is a hike to get to Vieux Lyon but the funicular is convenient. The room was on the small size, but very adequate.  Chantal makes her bread for breakfast since there is not boulangerie on the hill.  She has lived in Africa and has used her African collection in her decor.  She is a quiet woman, but could not do enough for us during our stay.  Her dog Charlie is very well behaved!

Pleased with Home Sweet Home B & B

We had a very nice experience with Home Sweet Home. The rooms were small, but very nicely equipped. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The host was very welcoming and warm, it was very nice to speak to her. Breakfast was simple, but good. 

I think, it was a good price for what it offers. I would recommend for people travelling on budget.

Great place, warm hosts, nice location

If you go on the hotel web -site, you will be more prepared to what expects you.
We booked one night from booking.com, looking at price, location, private bathroom and breakfast. The placed seemed to be the cheapest with all these characteristics. There were no opinion anywhere, so we decided to risk: 58 euro tot. (29 each) for a room, one night. 
First of all, we arrived to Vieux Lyon, as indicated in the address of booking.com. We were trying to look for the right place on the map but we did not manage, so we asked to many people on the street and nobody could help us. After half an hour, somebody suggested us to get the funicular to stop and go walking from there (it is up on a hill). We finally found the rue, but there were any sign indicating the place. Pretty scared, we called and they told us we were in the right place.
 When they opened and showed us our room, we had the worst surprise: a small room in a dark passage, with not only the smallest bathroom ever, but it was also shared with other rooms!  
We went in the city center for a walk, even if it was 6 pm already. It's a nice walking through an amazing garden, but it was raining a lot, so it has been less nice for this reason. It is true that it's only 15/20 minutes from the center, but it is all going up to the hill, when you go back. The closest funicular closes at 10 pm, the farest (5 minutes going up for the hill) at 00.00, so you could have any choice than climbing after that time. Breakfast was fine, but not exceptional (bread, small pan-au-chocolat, 2 type of jams and nutella, cafè/tea and orange juice). 
Maybe it can be a nice choice if you get one room with private toilet (we did not know about any difference among rooms composition!) which is more expansive, and it's OK if you travel by car (it's a nice place, two minutes walking from the cathedral and musee gallo -romein). 
The personnel it's amazing, a kind and friendly man instead of the owner. He managed to create a familiar atmosphere at breakfast time and helped us as much as he could. 
Honestly, everything was extremely clean, at least.
 By the way, I would not spend so much for such an uncomfortable position and room.
