High standard accommodation with secure car parking.  Easy access to city centre via efficient public transport.  Sylvie provided a good breakfast and plenty of local information to make our stay in Lyon very enjoyable.

Excellent in Everyway

We stayed here with a MTV film crew and were a total pain but Sylvie and her family were amazing and dealt with everything we threw at them. We had way more people there than anticipated eating, sleeping and drinking.  Amazing place and brilliant hosts.

MTV roadtrip

We stayed at Dormir Autrement at the end of our three week trip to France.   We enjoyed the immaculate and modern room, with the very comfortable bed.  We also enjoyed the privacy and tranquillity of the premises, tucked away from the street.   This location would be perfect for a traveller with a car, as there is secure parking right on site.   We relied on the bus to get to the city center and it was easy to figure out.   It was also easy to catch public transportation a few short blocks away to the airport.  Sylvie and Serge gave us a very warm welcome and breakfast was lovely, with a view of the pool and garden.

Modern, comfortable and hospitable

An electronic gate on a narrow nondescript street hides a welcoming, comfortable B&B.  Sylvie and her husband are gracious hosts who offer a wonderful breakfast.  The modern rooms are comfortable, clean and attractive, and the bus at the corner runs on schedule 7 days a week.  I didn't spend any time lounging, but there is a sauna and attractive pool for those who are so inclined, and there is convenient free parking.

Dormir Autrement is ideally located in Lyon and perfect for a stop on your way to the South of France or perfect accommodation if you would like to explore Lyon (which we unfortunately did not have the time for, but is on our wish list).  The owners welcomed us warmly and explained everything in detail and are available in case you have any question or need.  The rooms are very modern and have everything you need (AC, TV, separate toilet, modern bathroom).  We travelled with our 1-year old baby and they arranged a nice baby bed for us, and even a bottle warmer.  You can park your car very safely inside the facilities, very near your room.  Breakfast is very very delicous, nice French bread selection, the best fruit salad!  If temperature allows, there is a nice swimming pool.  Hamam also available.
